Texas has been predicted to win the 2025 SEC Championship, according to a preseason poll of media covering SEC Football Media Days.

But they are 5th in percentage to win conference according to Vegas odds. All the picks and predictions don’t mean a thing. In fact the media days predictions are off more than they are right. It will be settled on the field. I hope everyone underestimates us. GBO

I’ve been building this BCR chart for a few years now, and was able to correctly predict we’d cross 50% this year based on how last year’s class finished. With the new BCR numbers released yesterday, I’ve projected 2026 to hit around 59%.

I originally pulled the data using Python from the 247 Composite rankings going back to 2005, by adjusting the year in the URL (https://247sports.com/season/2025-football/compositeteamrankings/).

For each class, I counted the 4- and 5-star commits, then used a 4-year weighted average with typical roster turnover rates to estimate roster BCR.

I also scaled the numbers to match official BCR figures where available (2020, 2021, 2024, 2025).

Be cautious with anything before 2010 since the data gets a little fuzzy, but the trend since then is accurate.

TLDR: CJH is doing a damn good job recruiting, and right now it’s very likely the highest BCR we’ve had since the early 2000s.

This is sweet. Another way you could look at how the staff is evaluating is to plot draft picks throughout the year. Additionally, you could add value by seeing how many transfers we pulled in ended up being draft picks.

Not something I’ve been tracking but could feasibly be done. Tracking transfers would a total pain though as most of the data would be manual since there’s no consistent sources for it.

Per our usual recruiting flubs at the end, for whatever reason, we won't get either Keys or Hiter... will believe it when I see it for us to even get 1 of the two... everyone knows at this point, NIL is the ultimate driver, and we won't pay... Ya'll keep going back and forth though, if it gets you through the day.

I agree with the concept of homage to Pat but I like it as an accent, not core color. So orange jersey and white helmet as usually but with summit blue trim on each and summit blue accessories. All gear sales proceeds to summit foundation and Alzheimer’s foundation.

Personally I think summit blue for some accent is best, storm troopers and then do a number outline and replace some of the patches with summit blue versions.

Vegas is the only one that should be listened to., especially if it's less than a couple weeks before kickoff.

Flip the orange and white on the helmet but keep the blue outlines. White face mask. Basically, our traditional helmets with blue stripes.

Orange jersey, white numerals/name plate, blue outlines. A blue Pat Summit signature or that Lady Vols script patch..... something small.

White pants, double orange stripes with a blue center stripe.

The coaches can wear Summit blue but the football team shouldn't. I like the Smokey gray, I like dark mode (around Halloween), I love the Stormtroopers, and I love the traditional Orange jersey/ white pants. I know everybody loves Pat, but we don't need Summit blue uniforms to honor her. That should be a Lady Vols alternative color only

we gotta have something outside of the Smokey greys im tired of looking at them.black jerseys are cool for night games or Halloween but that’s about it.when the sun is out they look like shiiiii..we pay respects to Pat every year..we need to step it up to something of this magnitude..these concepts on the field would pop and recruits would love it
