Heupel legitimately inherited a 10-year project to go from SEC gutter to elite.
He has restocked the roster according to our current place in the CFB pecking order and our natural recruiting grounds. Many coaches and ADs would be satisfied with that.
But we can still move up another tier based on wins and brand recognition. That's part two of the project. It's probably twice as hard as what he has done already, but I think he can and will do it.
Unlike the UGAs and UFs of the world, we can't just stock an elite roster in 3-4 years. Especially not with how far down we were when Heupel took over. The whole program had to be overhauled first in order to even give us a chance to break through to that next level of recruiting.
