Heupel legitimately inherited a 10-year project to go from SEC gutter to elite.

He has restocked the roster according to our current place in the CFB pecking order and our natural recruiting grounds. Many coaches and ADs would be satisfied with that.

But we can still move up another tier based on wins and brand recognition. That's part two of the project. It's probably twice as hard as what he has done already, but I think he can and will do it.

Unlike the UGAs and UFs of the world, we can't just stock an elite roster in 3-4 years. Especially not with how far down we were when Heupel took over. The whole program had to be overhauled first in order to even give us a chance to break through to that next level of recruiting.

Great points. It's felt like a natural progression to me. could be better though.

Heup also didn't have the prestige to recruit at an elite elite level out of the gate.

Had restrictions until like now. Those 15 years made us like a Vandy in a lot of peoples eyes. One of the worst downfalls of a national power ever. Even Bama's dark period wasn't near as bad like the 05 Bama team won 10 games.

Really hope we can be the ones that cause them to fire Deboar thus pushing them into irrelevance

We are ranked 17th which is our first time making the top 18 in JH tenure. Last time we made it was maybe Fulmer era?

Respectfully disagree. It doesn’t take ten years. I mean he has won 30 games in the last three years. That’s top tier. If we get a couple elite recruiters on the offensive staff, we could be elite very fast with NIL. I’m just happy to know we are going to be looked at as a problem and good team. It sucked not being respected for a while.

Lol all sports progrnostication is guessing. But the objective facts were that he had one of the worst situations in the country, so it's a reasonable guess that he'll be better without the worst situation.

You don't know what situation he might find himself in this year. Auburn is not deep either. A few injuries at a few critical position groups and who knows? My point is that Auburn fans have sold themselves on Jackson Arnold when he hasn't done anything to this point to suggest he's anything other than what he's been.
