Never said I agree with you. Just stating I wasn’t saying he was elite in this convo. I also didn’t say that he wasn’t elite. You’ve simply not comprehended the words you’ve read.

But what you definitely are saying is that you don’t believe Banks to be elite yet you also can’t name any elite DC’s in college football. That doesn’t do your argument any favors.

I saw one of Ferrell’s early face plants on the subject from twitter (date was cropped out) posted this morning in the baseball forum. Nothing else. This is too good for people on X to miss! Get to work guys. The highest-paid OG in NFL history!

Huh? “I wasn’t saying he was elite. I also didn’t say he wasn’t.”
I don’t have an argument. You do. I have an opinion you disagree with. Better to have one vs “I don’t know if he is or isn’t”, which doesn’t take much analysis or thought.
Tx, Iowa, Ga are up there. There aren’t many “elite” in much of anything unless you are throwing the label around at those who are good but not great.
I’ve mentioned the long drives. Ask former offensive and defensive players what an 8 minute drive does to the whole sideline.
I have no idea why a few of you guys don’t want to tighten those long drives up. Common sense and constructive criticism be damned.

UGA gave up 41 to Bama. Banks D gave up 17.

UGA gave up 42 to GT, 34 in regulation. Only team to do that vs Banks D was OSU.

UGA gave up 31 to Miss St. Banks D gave up 14.

Iowa gave up 34 to OSU.

Iowa gave up 32 to Mich St. Only OSU scored 32 points vs Banks D.

TX had a good year. Still gave up 30 to UGa. Banks D gave up 31.

TX gave up 24 to Vandy. Banks D gave up 23.

Banks D in ‘24 was on par with TX D in ‘24 outside of a single game. It was better than UGa’s and Iowa’s.

TX finished 3rd total D. Banks D finished 6th. Iowa’s finished 20th. UGA 30th.

It’s inevitable.

It’ll really suck in those years when there’s 5 SEC road games.

And I’d imagine the years that it’s 5 SEC home games that there will somehow be a neutral site non conference game.

Having 8 regular season home games most years will probably become a thing of the past. And home and homes with other P5 schools will fizzle out.
