A lot of those advantages were negated when paying players above the table, on the books was legal...... It's why he fought it so hard and left when he did. The writing was on the wall, he's a very intelligent, self aware guy, he knew what was coming at Bama and protected his legacy.That fanbase is mostly clueless about why Bama was so dominant.
They think it’s because they’re Bama. Not because Nick Saban essentially controlled the entire state, SEC, and NCAA while paying players and skirting the rules of non-staff assistants actually coaching. He is a good coach made elite by having advantages across the board in everything from officiating to recruiting to strength and conditioning.
Now he’s gone and most of those advantages are neutralized. They’re just another team.
