What happened in Gatlinburg on September 13, 1986?

I had to look...

On September 13, 1986, a tragic event occurred in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, at the Rocky Top Village Inn (formerly located at 311 Historic Nature Trail). Two thieves intending to rob the inn brutally murdered a desk clerk and a security guard, taking $499 and the desk clerk’s purse. This incident is noted as one of Gatlinburg’s most notorious crimes. Following the murders, reports emerged of paranormal activity, including sightings of a shadowy figure in the parking lot and a guest reporting a vision of a young woman matching the desk clerk’s description standing at the foot of his bed. The inn was later demolished, and a Courtyard by Marriott now occupies the site, but stories of the tragedy and associated hauntings persist.

Jeremy banks over AJ Johnson?? if we’re strictly talking about “run stopper” you’re higher than giraffe *..respectfully of course 😁

1.) Mayo
2.)Johnson
3.)Banks
You guys almost all have a distorted memory of AJ Johnson, and it is because of how he played late into his UT career...and while I agree that he became a true meet and hit the dude behind the line in the hole hammer MLB later in his career..ir was simply not the case before that. He was a "grab onto the guy 3 yards downfield and hang on while he fell for 5 more" tackler until then....it infuriated me...but ai realized that it wasn't because he was soft, it was because he was just a second slow at getting the point of attack.

He got in way better shape, processed plays and took much better angles and was therefore much quicker at getting to the point of attack later.

He was a good tackler his whole career however, once he got his hands on somebody, they were not getting away...they might drag him 5 yards when he was younger but they were going down....I will give him that.

Flame away...but I know I'm not the only one that used to gripe about that on here...but there ain't many of those guys still on VN.

AJ was a cool dude. I saved him once on the Hill. He lost control of his scooter and was about to go headfirst into the steps. I jumped in front of him and caught him. The next day was the KY game and after the KY game was the SA allegations....

Maybe if I'd let him hit the steps he would've been injured and never would've been at that party 🤷

When have we needed a 7th WR to play meaningful minutes? Did Hubbs and AP tell us that (I listen to the pod and have heard them discuss it too)?
It’s more about relying on freshmen to start if the starters get injured since they lack experience. Our offense has a lot of choice routes and requires a lot of timing. Plus, most wide outs make huge jumps on our system in year two when you fully understand the offense. This is why depth is scary because our offense requires a good bit from its wideouts from blocking, routes, etc…

We have been fine with just a few playing as long as they stay healthy. Go watch bulls breakdown of Ohio state. Mike is a hell of a talent but a few times he got in last year as a freshmen against OSU, he didn’t run a correct route or didn’t come back to help his QB. Things more experienced receivers would know to do and comes with time.
