If any of you could retarr, would yens?😳

If not, who/how much would yens pay to retarr? I know I'd pay, right meow.
I'll never retire. . . not by choice, šŸ˜‚

If I could? . . the next post you'd see from me would be sent from somewhere far, far away.

- A door-to-door salesman stopped by my girlfriend's house when I was 19. I was the only one there, so he convinced me to buy a roth IRA from him (Modern Woodsmen of America). I only had $75 to start it with, but I've maxxed it out every year since then (except for about 4yrs around when I died and came back to life and the years after).

The max amount has gone up over the years. When I first started I could only put $2k/yr in it, then $4k. Now I can put $7k/yr in it, but have only done about $4-$6k since I was revived. I need to look at how much is in it now. I may be able to retire in about 10/yrs.

If I had any advice to give anyone, especially under the age of 30 - get yourself a Roth IRA, tell no soul about it, not your wife, not your momma, no one. Max it out every year. Never, ever, ever take a penny out of it, no mateer how broke your are. Thank me in your mid-50s.

Am I the only one that doesn’t like the orange on orange?
It’s not my favorite

1- traditional orange on white is top and it’s not even close
2- storm troopers
3- white top orange pants
4- black out jerseys
5- all orange
6- this years Smokey grey

3 and 4 are changeable but I prefer traditional look over black unis

The accent of summit blue looked good for one a year

I like the storm troopers with the numbers outlined in black way better then the current ones

Orange helmet is the worst decision we have ever made

rarely does anyone come back from an ACL and immediately match previous mobility/explosiveness- it usually takes about a year. Ronald Acuna is a prime example, he came back and was ok, then exploded the next season. I think it’s going to be tough to be elite at corner right after coming back, it may be the most demanding and dynamic position in the defense for that injury.

Adrian Peterson ruined everyone’s thoughts on this
But yes you are right outside of a few freaks

Yeah my biggest regret is not realizing this earlier, I've been playing catchup since...but thankfully get a matched 401k to contribute to...still have my Roth IRA though, anytime I change jobs the 401k gets dumbed there if new company doesn't offer 401k to roll into.

Even setup the wife with her own Roth IRA...only sadly not able to max it out.

A close second would be the orange jerseys, orange britches and orange Nikes that Coach Majors had us wear at home against Alabama one year.
We got boat raced.
Never saw the orange Nikes again.

I'll be honest...I am completely fine with never seeing orange helmet.

BUT

I'd love to see us do some variety with the White ones...one side Vols in script (like the basketball/baseball jerseys have done) or maybe UT on it or the rifleman...lots of throwback options to pick from. Could even do T on one side and other logo on the other...just once a year or something maybe.TN_Helmet_Rifleman.png

Looking at our class....could upgrade DL, RB, & CB for sure with some of the above names.

Our WR, LB, QB, and OL is pretty well recruited for '26 class...so have to make sure you're getting a stud.

Moa & Wyatt are both top 50 rated ATHELETES in the class and both play 2 ways at WR/S so depending on where they fit in your need changes. LB we have Rouse and White both top 100 players and both top 5 LBs coming in.

Our highest rated DL is Albert ranked just below 200th in the class, then Zay is our highest rated CB outside to 200

We could use a RB, TE, and any quality OL on offense. Definitely need some big dudes for the DL and some dynamos in the secondary. Other than that, gamechangers. Never turn away gamechangers.

agree--- hopefully we are making some moves/communication behind the scenes... really would have thought we'd push for someone from ucla or vtech unless it would screw up the existing NIL roster sitch... would happily take some LB and DB depth... there a safety out there that can be productive?

You're thinking more portal. I think DL will be our biggest portal need when it opens after the season. Other than that, it will be about who stays and who goes. Defense should be the focus IMO.
