tuesday, jones is scheduled to be in clairton, penn., to see wide receiver tyler boyd along with wide receivers coach zach azzanni and offensive line coach don mahoney. Boyd is committed to pittsburgh, but has had his eyes on a vol visit for several weeks now. Although he committed to the panthers during the army all-american game, boyd told rivals.com after the game he still wanted to visit tennessee so he could be added to the list at any time.
Jones is also expected in ohio to see commitments dylan wiesman and aaj branisel for their in-home visits. Both are scheduled to visit this weekend as tennessee will likely have somewhere between 15-20 official visitors in town.
Wednesday, the head coach may very likely be in memphis recruiting as tennessee works to hang onto defensive end jason carr and tries to flip offensive lineman christian morris from ucla to the vols.
The tennessee coaches will be all over the map this week as they continue the stretch run towards signing day. Monday steve stripling was scheduled to meet with keith bryant. Coaches were also by to see jaylen miller as he's become a major vol target as signing day nears. Mark elder was in california to meet with chauntez jackson.
Jay graham is expected to have a follow up visit with johnathan ford on wednesday. Ford was impressed with weekend trip to knoxville and graham is trying to build on that momentum heading into ford's weekend trip to vanderbilt. Also, we expect him to meet with alvin kamara on thursday as tennessee continues to try and get an official visit there.
