He doesn't even look remotely athletic. His tat is just as bad as Bray's is too.

That statement doesn't mean a whole lot. If I saw Ben Roethlisberger on the beach without a shirt on, I'd think he was a doofus with a beer gut. But, as well all know, that can, even though maybe slow, can make athletic plays.

We're talking about QBs afterall.

Draft talk here... Would you be happy if your team drafted Tyler Bray? And if so, how early would you get him.

I would be happy if Oakland got him in the 3rd round

Yes, I would be tickled. He is still raw and needs some seasoning and work under a character veteran like Matt Hasselbeck. I think the right team would get a steal in the late 2nd to early 3rd rounds.

Not speaking in hyperbole, if the Titans took him before the 6th, I'd be upset. Part of that is because we have Jake. CP 1st. Hunter 2nd (I know he's probably a 1st, he just dropped too many balls if I were evaluating).

I am not sold on Jake Locker. Jake is a great kid, but he is not nor will he ever be an elite NFL pocket passer. Thus, I do not believe he is the Titans long term QB of the future.

I don't want too much money on 2 unknown quantities.

Whats anyones take on Brecken Biggs qb out of Wyoming chances in the SeC? Wyoming Gatorade Player of the Yr, a winner, and can both run and pass. Im good friends with his cousin loves the Vols.

No. He doesn't have the chops to succeed in the NFL. Unless its a 6th end pick I would rather get a guy who would be able to contribute.

If Kansas City drafted him in the late 2nd/3rd round then I'd be okay with it. But that is more because I hate this QB class than because I think Bray will be great in the NFL. There really aren't any QBs I like in this class. Geno Smith is proabably my favorite, but no way is he worth a top 10 pick.

I understand that, but you'd think with access to world class training facilities and trainers that you'd look semi-athletic.

I'm really starting to get more on board with this staff & Coach Jones, I still have a few concerns but after watching the coach interviews from yesterday & reading some of the stuff Hubbs has said about the schemes we will run most of my concerns are starting to go away.

Took you long enough but.....

What about WRs? There's 12 on the roster, two are going to the draft, and one graduated (CP, JH, and ZR). 3 don't contribute, and one is Cody Blanc.

we are definitely short on WR if those are the counts he wants to keep - i have only 6 WR on scholarship - 2 committed atp

so that means he would go and get 4 more in just this class - 6 total in this class - to get to his 12

there are 85 spots - i would be interested to see his total breakdown - here is my guess at it

QB - 4
RB - 6
WR - 12
TE - 4
OL - 15
DE - 8
DT - 8
LB - 13
CB - 7
S - 6
ST - 2

Possibly my favorite note of the whole story from 247 - CBJ noted that UT's defense will be "blitz-oriented" that is focused on pressuring the backfield and disrupting the offensive flow of the opponent.

Hopefully there's a vast improvement with the secondary because blitzing will only work if the secondary gives the front enough time to get to the QB.

We'll see.

If you get ESPN3 then watch the Louisville/UC game. If you take it that Muchie was a WIDE RECEIVER!!!! PLAYING QUARTERBACK!!!!! and project that all our guys will be equally more talented as the other guys will be more talented than their guys then you can see that the scheme works. Ball bounced horribly for UC at the end there, but they fought to the bitter end.

And like the OL coach said, he’s not gonna kill his guys making them learn to do everything exactly his way. Gonna be like that everywhere with these coaches. Except, of course, where it didn’t work, like the DBs.
