Springer declares for the NBA
Ty Simpson picked bama?!?! Thanks for the timely update, Jimmy./rant
The irony of a recruiting forum full of people that don't understand what recruiting even is, is well... Kind of funny.
There are three classes of recruits. First, there are the guys that are lucky to even get a few offers and should just take the best one available. Then there are guys that might be able to make it to the league, but it is a long shot. They have a dozen or more offers, and can be selective about who they want to play for based on playing time, campus vibe, close to home, etc.
Then there are guys who have been told by everyone that watches them play that they should play on Sundays, and anything less than that is a failure. Those guys are picking colleges based on a BUSINESS. DECISION. Which, if you don't know, is a decision being made about money.
Ty Simpson does not give a **** about the state of Alabama, the city of Tuscaloosa, or their traditions in general. Except for one. Their tradition of putting dudes in the league.
So if it really rustles your Jimmies to think someone would come here and not give a **** about the band or the logo, that's fine. What you are saying is you don't want anybody that Bama, Georgia, and Florida are actively recruiting. In other words, you are cool with being middle of the pack at best. At least acknowledge that though. I don't want to hear any of this "Only want players who want to be here" and "Tired of having no talent" coming out both sides of everyone's mouth. It's a contradiction. No high level 4 star or 5 star has ever come here or will ever because they found an undying love for the team and fan base in 2 visits and some DMs from Sab. There are pornos with a $15 budget with a more believable story than that.

I felt like he truly did early in the clock, but not late. Think he averaged 1 fumble a game where he played meaningful minutes. Once he decided to hold past 3 seconds, he got tunnel vision.
