UT has moved on from the Fulkerson incident. There were scripted replies on both sides, the SEC did not acknowledge it publicly and Fulky showed grace and class. If asked, expect UT players and coaches to stick to the company line: we've moved on and are focusing on the next game.

Fulky has been playing through multiple injuries this season and they've been downplaying this one. I'm sure he wants to play, but he'll have to clear concussion protocol and be medically cleared for his eye and facial injuries.

UTAD has been neutered recently. I'm not sure what the right answer was/is, but I would think their posture is as much about staying out of the news as anything. I would also be curious as to how much of this is coming from DW vs CRB. The opinions around here suggest that DW is the one laying down, but CRB may be driving that response as well.

exactly............He hired a quality FB Coach, that hired a quality staff. What else has he needed to do? Ask the NCAA when they will make a decision on any penalties for football..........

Go to bat for Fulky, for one. Payne is gonna play this weekend while Fulky stays home and nurses a broken face, and we’re apparently not going to say one word.

Also, not saying DW is going fail here, or anything. He just hasn’t been the super AD he was billed to be when we hired him, SO FAR. I’m still confident things will improve under his leadership.

He's not been very good. He played every game so no injuries.

How do you know he hasn't lobbied for a suspension? CRB doesn't want a distraction with a public campaign to suspend someone on another team. No idea why you hotheads think we "have no balls" or "DW is a beta" because he's not incessantly whining in public about how the ncaa should punish someone on another team. That's such a bad look, and I'm glad he's intelligent enough to realize it instead of looking petulant on national media.

He comes off as sincere. His interview during the first part of the UT-UF game was nice.

But, I agree that there have been some pretty arrogant decisions made, and it is clear they just care about the money that the top schools bring in. A league/conference is supposed to create an environment of competitive balance, and all they care about is the money. While many of us believe in capitalism, I learned a while back that true capitalism does not create a competitive sports league.

The awful officiating in football and basketball, the inconsistencies in punishments of athletes and/or coaches, the catering to what is perceived as the elite schools, and the scheduling for last year's football season are all things that point to their arrogance.

I’m not upset with Danny White. I said in my original post he may have good reason to stay mum on this (and other) issues, for the time being. However, from a guy that publicly proclaimed UCF national champions a few years back, I thought we would start seeing forceful and public pushback against the BS we continually receive from the league office. We’ll see if that starts to happen 1 or 2 years down the road. Just wish it was happening now.

All I said is that DW hasn’t impressed me, so far. I don’t hate the guy, and I don’t even think he’s doing a bad job. He just wasn’t wowed me, to this point.

I can see that side of it. But I think it makes us look weak that we just continually accept a clear double-standard without ever putting up a fight. Lot of ways to look at it.

Agree what’s the issue here? The elbow was awful and we are now most likely down a man in the tourney but what should we be pushing for here? Soft society wanting to press charges on the kid? A suspension? I’m confused.

Why should Payne be able to play when he physically knocked somebody else out from playing? At the very least. he shouldn't be allowed to play till Fulky is healthy. Consequences are real.

I’d be happy with a 2-game suspension. An intentional elbow to the face that causes a fracture and a concussion warrants it.

I mean, you get a full-game suspension just for lowering your head on a tackle.
