Who is to blame for his defense? That's always been his problem and that problem will continue. He is gifted at scoring points and that's about it.If Kiffin would of had any resemblance of a defense this past year he would of won more games than he did. His defense killed him.
We have the players to have a good defense. With Kiffins offense Tennessee would be immediately better.
You think he chose to ignore this area intentionally? Kinda proves my point. The south runs football. You’re not getting where you want to go without the southeast. Sure there’s always the outlier (USC, Texas, Oregon) but they’ve got a geographic excuse. But even Oregon has started to dip into the south lately.Butch had two top 5 recruiting classes. I don’t think not having southern ties led him to not being able to recruit this area
Bruh, Kiffin was 5-5 this year..... lulz

Kiffin would actually utilize our TEs and WRs properly. Getting Velus and Hyatt in space.
Took the Bama OC job this afternoon. If I am Mr.White my first call is Bill O’Brien. He resurrected Penn State out of a lot worse situation than we are in.He also has NFL head coaching experience which could help with recruiting.I wouldn’t pay attention to his NFL coaching record. You can’t control player personnel in the league. Lots of great college coaches don’t do well in the NFL. I know he just signed on to be the oc at Bama but I would make a run at him.
Ole Miss had no depth on the defensive side of the Ball. Tennessee had plenty of depth on the defensive side of the ball and had one of the top secondaries the year before this one and then immediately regressed. That is why Tennessee was blamed for having a terrible defense because of the coach. It’s funny when the head coach isn’t to blame when they aren’t Tennessee’s coach if they have a bad defense and or offense
Good thing he also beat them in 2017 when OU went to the playoffs and took UGA to OTYou do realize that this Oklahoma team is like past Oklahoma teams?..just making that clear the red River rivalry isn’t a big hit no more and the big 12 is garbage..but if it is him I’ll accept just be sure to mark off conference USA,Big east and big 12 coaches on the list of coaches we have tried that’s had decent years and failed here in the SEC...
this is the conference that makes or breaks coaching careers..I understand we need a coach that players want to play hard for and Campbell most certainly fits that bill but he’s not as proven as y’all think.
Word is he has already shut down calls from NFL orgs. It's a longshot...but isn't that we always ask of our leaders? At least take the big shots first.Okay, let’s do a logic game like the last couple of days: I have two questions regarding Campbell.
1) Why would he take this job over bigger openings?
2) He will probably get an NFL job in a couple years so why make this move now?
