Kiffin's good, but he isn't that good.

To be honest, JC was pretty pathetic before Kiffin showed up. He definitely found a way to make him successful. So I would say there would have been a possibility there to find a way to make JG successful too.

I’ve got a bit of Bama fatigue. We’ve have someone with deep Alabama ties in either the AD role or head football coach role for a decade. I’d like a completely new approach, with the possible exception of Kiffin.

We literally are paying the consequences for hiring a coach and ad with zero experience and now we want to jump right back in the same ship because of VFL status. SMDH

I’m sorry but who really gives a rat’s ass about how the national media and other people view our university. That’s the ONLY possible reason you tell yourself not to go after Kiffin.

We’re already a mess so I say let’s get a little messier if it means hiring Kiffin. Low said of himself, no one with a big name is going to want this job because of the sanctions....except Kiffin. If he’s willing to come here then just get it done already.

It might be a failure in the end, but at LEAST we would have some fun. Something we haven’t done in a decade.

Hiring Kiffin feels a little bit like stealing the ex-wife that cheated on you from her new husband. Which I guess the 'at LEAST we would have some fun' line would be consistent with that.

I have a hard time believing that they did an internal investigation and weren't preparing to fire/ hire. They knew how bad this was . The external investigation was to not look like a witch hunt and for the NCAA.

Having said that I think they are well down the road hiring the next coach who gave his blessing to hire Steele. They wait a few days to announce to give the appearance they weren't hiring before firing. No need to give Pruitt or his attorneys any fodder.
