At this point. It would be one of the best things that could happen in CFB. Bama will still be solid if their cheating structure stays in place, but they'll probably take a step back no matter who the next coach is.

Tony Banks, Trent Dilfer, Elvis Grbac, Jeff Blake, Kyle Boller and Steve McNair. Those are quarterbacks that Brian Billick had on his way to 85-67 overall record including a super bowl win with Dilfer...Trent Dilfer. Did he have a great defense? Yes. Go look at Marrone's defensive roster at Buffalo and Jacksonville. They had some good players on and he still has a terrible record in the NFL.

If Marrone gets credit for two 1st rounders then he should also receive criticism for his performance. I don't think he recruited Jones or Pugh. He went 1-6 in the Big East in 2 out of 4 years at Syracuse with 13 draft picks. I just can not see why some are so high on Marrone. If he had never been at UT would anybody in here be talking about him?

And he was a great NFL coach. A great NFL coach would have no interest in this college job.

He also at the Ravens stop had the best defense in the last 20+ years of the NFL and Arguably the best safety and LB of all time on the same team. And a great run game. Comparing the jaguars rosters to that is a bit of a stretch imo
