It was their worst offense but they still out schemed them. 366 yards won them the game. The total yards were 366 to 405 (close to even) while Coastal Carolina was at a distinct talent disadvantage. Being even after having a talent disparity points to a coaching/scheme advantage. How does that help your point?
I am also afraid Fulmer is bring in Steele to replace PruittBaylor has nothing to do with his ability to coordinate a defense, and Steele has put some really good defenses on the field at AU, and his work there is a huge reason Mehlzahn wasn't fired a long time ago, plus he seems to have adjusted to the newer offenses well since that West Virginia game.
Nobody questions Venables (rightfully) and his defense just got slaughtered too.
