Unlike others, I've said over and over that I didn't know what UT is going to do. UT doesn't know what UT is going to do. UT has been investigating for months and waiting to see what is uncovered and what counsel recommends. I haven't put a timeline on things, either. Unlike some.

I generally don't comment on things I know nothing about, and when it's my opinion, I preface my comments with that. Unlike some.

I would have thought it within the realm of possibility 3 weeks ago....... But not now, the disfunction from the program has been put on full display for the second time in 5 years. Coaches, the good ones anyway, know a toxic situation when they see it. JMO though, I hope you're right.

IF Pruitt is fired this year, things are going to be a mess unless we are willing to spend 6 mill + on a proven winner. If we are looking at candidates in the 3 to 4 mill range for a up and comer, they will be destined for failure here with the time they are being hired and current state of the program.

Kinda in line with some stuff others have said. First I've seen tweets mentioned, but AV has said it was an accidental slip up.

UT has painted themselves into a corner.

If he sues and can prove this was just a fabricated witch hunt to get rid of a 3-7 coach then he will get a lot more than his buyout.

Scorched earth .

Prepare yourself for it's cheaper to keep him. He won’t settle.

Seems to be a similar criticism of Pruitt. Apparently Pruitt hates all the fluff and elbow rubbing etc.

Leaders should make principled long-term decisions and lawyers should only advise. From the outside looking in, it appears UT is trying to reverse this process "out of an abundance of caution" and as a result we are all residing in the middle of a steaming pile of !@#%

Anyone else notice that 1vol8 guy seems to have disappeared? Anytime BM used to get mentioned, he would run to the rescue... 🤷‍♂️

Add in LSU coach on a wire tap talking about payments to a player and NCAA hasn't done ish to them. I fire CJP, ignore the NCAA's thoughts on Freeze and hire him.

This athletic department is a clown show that not only a) leaks everything to the press, but b) cannot read the room or understand the ramifications of their decisions to save their life.

It is obvious that dragging this thing out and letting it sit in purgatory only leads to a bad outcome. If you end up keeping him, he has now taken a PR hit, is delayed from attracting transfers and hiring good members of his staff, and will be left with scraps by the time this is resolved.

If you end up firing him, you have now drug your feet into no man's land where every prospective coach has already either decided they are staying put at their current job, or has signed extensions that will raise buyouts.

We have the DUMBEST leadership across the board of any major program. They are clueless.
