I was yelling at the TV when we inbounded to Vescovi with 15 seconds left! Not cause I have lost faith in him but because he had shot like sh!t the whole game. But heck I guess if Barnes has confidence in him even when he’s shooting bad to drain two at the end I will trust in him.
Same here Keon had made 4 in a row and I wanted him to keep shooting

I agree with this, Hank. That D was strong and kept them in games really well. Was really strange timing to be tearing it all down based on the roster. Going back to the future with Coughlin was the mistake IMO.
I know coughlin has his core principals on defense and if they defense was bad i could see it but they were literally the best and it wasn’t close. They were literally the Legion of boom Seahawks. Same exact makeup just weren’t good enough at the QB position

It’s hard to be humble around these parts

Anyone want to laugh at me now like the masses did last year when I tried to tell you that SV wasn’t the answer at PG around these parts?
Yeah he really hinders the offensive production during transition. He slows everyone down, gives the D a chance to set up. Id like to see Keon grow into more of a Bone type PG. Someone who can steal 2 points if your walking back on D or not turned around .

Glad we won. But this is 2 games in a row we've struggled to defend like we did at Mizzou. We're lucky Arky turned it over a gazillion times or we would have lost this game too. We're not shooting the 3 ball very well either.

Even though we played lights out against Mizzou on D it exposed a flaw in our D. We have several guys who are not good on ball defenders in isolation. To beat our D you gotta find 1 on 1 match ups with certain defenders and take it to the rack. We couldn’t defend it against Mizzou, Bama or Arky. We have a fantastic defense but that is a flaw that desperately needs to be corrected.

I’m so fat behind I don’t know what we are currently talking about but I can 100% see Fulmer getting on board with a Steele DC hire, then simply promote him to head coach if things go south

Not really. He has been adamant that he doesn’t see how they could keep him, but has maintained until recent days that they might still bring him back.
How is that different from Low saying he doesn’t see how they bring him back but you never say never. Tony said he believes he’s almost certainly gone but you never say never around here. He’s said that for weeks.

Low has now changed his stance and is coming to the same conclusion.

Agreed on the NFL. You just can’t look at NFL the same way as college. Without a big time qb it’s very difficult. He is in the AFC and not coaching the Pats/Steelers and had zero at qb. So not an easy gig

Lots of guys w Little to no success in NFL that go to college and do well

Saint Doug can be our Pete Carroll. I’d much rather have him over Gus or Herman. Still prefer Freeze and then Napier in that order 🥶

Barnes will figure it out on O. No "go to" guys yet. I would prefer the creator of it to be Keon with JJJ. Let Vescovi be the spot up guy with Pons and Fulky working low. Vescovi's working so hard he's losing his touch. Springer could change all that as the season wears on and the ankle heals. I see VB as the 6/7th man who still needs to find his identity, how he fits into it all. Good to have him help with ball handling as needed and some juice on O if he's hitting. But he's been left standing flat footed on D a lot lately.

if they will just move on from Jeremy I will give full support to whoever they hire for the next 4 seasons as long as he is a reasonable option. No Kevin Steele's and such. I am so ready to be Mr. Sunshine Pumper after all of this mess for the past 15 years. Give us some legit hope. If Plowman and Boyd pull this off regardless of any sanctions, they will deserve a lot of credit.
