Marrones? I’m not sure it would depend on what kind of staff he brings imo. He’s pretty hands off and has shown to be flexible especially on defense which is a plus. I love the idea of the staff he could assemble and how much he lives by physicality and good OL play.

#1) I love offensive linemen as head coaches.

#2) he has proven to be a great motivator.

#3) he’s run a college program and two NFL programs.

#4) there are some theoretical staff fits with Hobby as DC and his strength coach in Jacksonville.

I think he would have as good of a shot as any in terms of recruiting. His staff would more than likely have NFL flavor which is the draw. There’s a lot of Syracuse fans around me and they said they were all upset when he left them.
What’s your overall takeaway from his time in Buffalo and Jacksonville?

Why do you feel like Chadwell is a safe hire? I wouldn’t mind him either, but I honestly would rather have Mahlzan if it isn’t Freeze, Herman, or Napier
I don't think he is a safe hire. I just don't think he is a guaranteed failure like those other guys he named...he is a young guy with a high ceiling.

I hate the thought of a Mehlzahn hire only slightly less than Marrone. I have watched my Awbarn in-laws grow to hate that guy for years. His best years are all behind him, and he does not have what it takes to fix our titanic mess imo. I don't think he would ever win more than seven games.

Buffalo did ok but decided to leave after ownership transition which knowing what i do now.... ownership is the ultimate factor in NFL.

Jacksonville i think he did really good. If they never hire coughlin, the majority of that defense is still there and they could’ve explored QB in FA/draft instead of trying to go full transition to a 3-4 front.... with literally the best 4 man front defense in the league at prime ages.

This sounds like a homer take but as soon as coughlin took over i think he wanted to tear down and rebuild immediately but Doug was a good enough coach that they won more than they were supposed to and hindered their plans.

Guys if Pruitt is dismissed, it is not going to be rainbows and sunshine. This thing could go a hundred different ways between who the coach is, who leaves, who stays, what is the severity, is the investigation done or do they move on regardless.. It may not be easy to hire a coach right after this mess. Keep that in mind and if they are able to hire a quality coach then it should be seen as a major victory is this situation. We are about to find out what kind of leader Plowman is.

This has me alittle worried. Too bad we don’t know a guy that would crawl through broken glass to be here.
