I bought the property in the mid 80's. Built the dam for the pond late 80's. Built our house early 90's. Bought additional acreage ajoinging us in the late 90's. We love it here.

My grandad, who died way before I was born was postmaster of the Heiskell post office in the late 40's early 50's.

JG is who he is as a player. I admire that he tried, and I admire the character he displayed, but he's not a good QB. The fact he kept seeing the field is on Pruitt. If the coach says play, you play. I'm sure JG tried his best. No one intends to be horrible. But his play was deserving of being benched much sooner than he was. Pruitt created that situation.

I should’ve been more clear. A lot of his teammates did not like him. Especially less well known scout team guys.

Convinced if we make a move on Pruitt then the next hire should be Herman. It’s a no brainer.

He’s had a few losses but they were all close. Texas hasn’t had the doors blown off on them in a few years. They even had last years LSU team (arguably a top 5 CFB team all time) on the ropes for most of the game. His worst loss as a head coach was against TCU in 2017 (24-7)

He’s also 5-0 in bowls 2 of those being New Years 6 bowl wins: 2015 a 38-24 win vs a Jimbo Fisher Florida State team in the Peach Bowl, then in 2018 against Georgia in the Sugar Bowl.

Won a national title in 2014 with Ohio State as the OC on his 3rd string QB

Average recruiting class ranking of around 5 while at TX, where most of the top kids in state have decided to leave more and more as of recent

Why in the world did UTjr fire this guy for Steve Sarkisian of all people 😂

I'd take Herman in a heartbeat, which means he won't even be on UT's radar.

That's awesome. We moved off the Ridge to the Bethel Community (Clinton now) in 89 but I've still got family up there. I've spent a lot time in those woods across the road from your pond.

*I remember going to the old Heiskell PO when I was a kid (late 70s). It was real old and not much bigger than a guard shack. It was close to the 4 way stop. Was that his post?

Yeah but we will wait until Florida is ready to hire their next coach, fire Pruitt and then try to hire him.

Interesting to dissect the issue. EHD, bears, yotes, lack of mast/food source, new food source, pressure. Could be a multitude of things.
As far as the fox. I am no expert but just in my experience... deer will alter their course due to dogs/yotes but not for very long. Especially on a destination food source.

Even if Pruitt is canned, what makes us think Herman would take job? He just got a huge buyout. Me thinks he takes a yr off. Feels PF's #1 will be Marrone ans Steele combo.

He’s young and he’s not done coaching...he’ll take a great opportunity as soon as it’s available.
