I’m sure that is true but that’s why you hire a proven winner from the start instead of being cheap and taking chances on guys that haven’t proven anything. No one can convince me that if we were willing to spend the money that we couldn’t have gotten a good coach after Kiffen. We were thought of as a lot better program then than we are now. Our problems today stem from being cheap years ago.

Our coaches consistently pick up where our fired coaches leave off, so I guess we have that in common

I don’t get how anyone can be optimistic Pruitt can win 8 games next year. It is sad UT is not serious about football anymore and keep a 3-7 coach while other schools fired coaches with winning records! I can’t think of many instances where a coach really turned things around like we need. Most that do show promise and progress or have one bad season among many good seasons.

They've been pretty hit and miss so maybe they'll miss again. Zook, Muschamp, and MacElwain were misses. Meyer and so far Mullen good.

They already have a replacement thread on their board. Kiffin mentioned a lot.
If Mullen leaves who would you realistically like to replace him

Fixing that first is more important than whoever the next hire is right now. As much as most of us want a change we will be in the same boat if the admin doesn't get fixed.

If the 'decision makers' get on the same page thru all of this, I would definitely be on board with that. Color me very skeptical though. Too many years of watching the same silly mess has me currently at a loss of hope....... and I hate that's where I'm at with UT football.

I wanted the guy fired too, but it isn’t going to happen.. at least not this season. And no, they don’t care. But clearly recruits still like the guy enough to come play here or else they’d not even be giving UT any attention. He’ll make his hires, he’ll continue to recruit and whatever happens, happens. Wish people would figure that out and either get on board or ACTUALLY check out until a change is made, rather than constantly having to “publicly announce” only to still be here and hop on social media every chance they can to s**t on the program they claim to be a fan of. Constantly nitpicking stats that you could find on every coach and even make up random s**t to fit a narrative.

And for those worried about 2022 recruits, I’ll tell you right now most of these kids are coming to play for Tennessee because they want to be AT Tennessee. It wouldn’t matter who the HC is. Even most of the “elite” kids fall in that category. Y’all seriously think guys like Ty would be giving TN any attention, or literally hanging out with only our players on weekends if he was that serious about Clemson or Alabama?

And for the record, I know I said I’d go find a new team, and even considered it at one point but I just can’t. I was born into this s**t show and even if we go 0-12 every year there’s likely no pulling me out of it.

Besides, half of y’all are gonna he right back here in August talking about how we’re gonna finish 8-4 or better, talking about how we have a shot at winning the east.

That’s sort of my point, it’s just been tweaks. I noticed a lot more pistol and we did move away from the horizontal swing passes more, but then they act like the ONLY pass play we can run is a play-action bomb 30 yards down field. A little bit different window dressing that ultimately ended up looking like the same, or worse, product.

Why are we talking about Gainesville getting another coach? Getting rid of Mullen isn't a thing, is it?
