I think it's pretty obvious that the future, time-travelling version of Terrence, who changed his name to Terrance (twitter handle is TerrAnce Not TerrEnce), has been communicating with current-day Terrence and informed him of the decision he was going to make. When I was in the POTS, Dickey came and gave us a speech where he basically told us we weren't needed as long as the team is winning. Personally, I like to think we contributed to a great gameday environment. I mean, imagine a game without "Rocky Top"? But he was pretty blunt. The only thing that mattered was winning. Personality-wise, Dickey's name suited him, but that might be what made him a good AD.

My experience is different. Back in the early nineties when I was in grad school, I lived in Golf Range apartments and shopped at the Kroger near there. Saw DAD in there several times and said hello. We talked for several minutes each time and he was gracious and friendly. I'm sure he could be tough when he needed to be but he seemed like a nice guy to me.

Such an odd deal...a south Florida 5-star LB has Tennessee and Maryland in his final 2.

I think it means he isn't wanted by elite programs, and the only people who want him are second-tier schools who are throwing a ton of $$$ at him.

For those who are saying that Gus's offense is "gimmicky", why do you say that? Is it because it uses motion and misdirection and isn't lined up in the "I" formation with 2 tight ends every play?

This board has been BEGGING for motion, misdirection and some creativity out of Chaney and Co all year, would that be considered gimmicky too?

I have been out on Pruitt because of QBs handling. However the Twitter trolls with all the regurgitated comparisons of auburn and tn situation are not comparable. Look deeper than surface.

Auburn has had same coach for a long time. They have had stability. Gus been on hot seat every year for last 5 years. So this has been brewing for years. Boosters been preparing for this moment for years.

Meanwhile, TN has been paying coaches from multiple staffs to not coach here. Pruitt was riding a win streak coming into year 3. Nobody was prepared for a coaching search or to fund a buyout in a regular year let alone a pandemic year. Can you really judge a guy that had training camp without 50 guys then midsession loses 20 more. Fans may have quit but judging by the effort vs Florida and Vandy the players clearly have not quit. QB play looks better which makes offense look more competent. Kids still playing hard. Defense all of a sudden swarming to ball now that Pruitt calling plays again.

Imo people need to chill and let things play out behind closed doors. We don’t need this social media madness making kids think twice. Let them get kids signed take advantage of lack of relationships for recruit/current players at South Carolina and auburn and see what staff does with their own recruited QB. We have really good talent at offensive skill positions and OL. Defense should have most guys back. It would not surprise me to look better next yr under pruitt

What evidence is there that Pruitt is calling plays ‘again’? I was under the impression he and ansley make a decision together all season: Pruitt calls the line and then ansley has backers and secondary call based on what Germ calls for the line

I am not versed enough in football to really know. I have certainly said that we have lacked motion this year. That's what offenses are now doing, even in the NFL.

However, people have caught on to Gus' offense. Even Pruitt knew what he was doing in 2018. Had Baylen Buchanon in the right spots multiple times. Maybe it's been the lack of a great QB? I don't know.
