They hid under cover of the “too expensive to fire a coach” when what they really showed, which we all knew was the case, that they jist don’t really care about football. They may want our team to be good but they don’t have any interest in spending the money to make it happen. They want it to be on the cheap. They don’t prioritize football like other schools do.

Maybe this motivates UT to act? We can hope. As far as Freeze goes, it'll be interesting to see if he's offered the job. I don't think UT ever hires him as long as Fulmer is AD.

Gus would be just ok. Probably get you to 8 or 9 wins on a semi regular basis with the 7-5 occasionally thrown in. May be lucky enough to get in the national championship conversation once in a blue moon. Obviously better than what we have now but not a grand slam.

Malzahn won the West in 2017, beat Bama last year, and went 6-4 in an all SEC season during Covid. Has a $21 million dollar buyout and gets fired. Auburn is serious and already has their guy, whoever it is.
