I buy the whole notion that no spring, no fall, and as much as HB was in quarantine that he had no business starting earlier in the year.

And I firmly believe Mauers mental illness precluded him from getting serious consideration.

But the staff should’ve realized JG isn’t the answer post Kentucky. Shrout should’ve been given an honest chance at QB1 post Kentucky. I.e. tailored game plans and a full week of rep with the ones.

Shrout is the 2nd best QB we have on the roster. Don’t @ me

Amazing how we’ve been young for 12 years!

The problem is that we weren’t really young in Pruitt’s first year, but he was having to develop Butch’s players. Tuttle, Phillips, Taylor, Warrior, JJ, Callaway, Bituli were all veteran players that got better under Pruitt. But OL and QB were a mess and little depth at RB.

1. I don’t know how we can even fathom bringing back Pruitt, but it appears we’re going to...
2. as of today. I think lot of minds (maybe even the important ones) will change if we don’t significantly improve against Florida and TAMU.

If we lose by 20+ to A&M and Fl, how does that give anyone hope next year? Beating Vandy doesn't excite me.
