Everyone says Pruitt has recruited well. Please tell me where we have difference makers on defense? Too Too is the only one. Corners average, safeties average, DL average, OLB average. Maybe the young players show something but we are in real trouble if these young players don’t develop. But moving them to different positions every two weeks will stunt their growth.

This is something I keep pointing out--- the one thing Pruitt is known for and supposed to be good at is Defense... yet ours is below average in year 3, and other than Toot has an average talent pool. We have 2 LB's that were RB's... He should have been able to recruit studs with his rep alone and have that side of the ball firing on all cylinders by now... yet we stink. The guy can only coach high tier talent (AL, GA, FLST) handed to him.

Mommy. 😂

I don’t need to “win” he’s just not nearly as good as you claim.
It’s kinda funny because of the whole bad take you had yesterday about Chandler. All BT has to do is show out at the combine and pro day to boost his stock. Happens to players all the time who didn’t have a great year.

Coaches get the most out of their guys
Paper coaches live off natural ability and talent.

His flaws were obviously covered up by Saban.

We need to simplify schematically.

Players playing full speed with slight less schematic advantage >>>Players thinking too much, blowing assignments, and playing slow

The best is Pruitt choosing his high school teaching buddy to coach DL over Steve Caldwell who was volunteering to do it after he fired a good DL coach mid game.
Smh!! If Phil is on board with all of this, then maybe he truly is out to burn UT down for firing him?!?

Bryce and Henry T are the above average players on D. All of the others are average to below average. Folks - this was a 3-7 team and many on the roster played a lot of snaps. There are no surprises or X factors. There are a handful of guys on the D with upside. We also know the current staff cannot develop them as the facts are in evidence.

The guy has exactly five years of on-field coaching experience and those years came at UTSA, BYU and Troy.

Absolutely pathetic. And once you add in the black face picture, he should be totally disqualified.
Our university won’t touch Freeze, but they will hire a Sexist and possible racist. We need to clean shop immediately.

Pruitt makes a good meal if he's given great ingredients and has a great recipe to follow. I know that sounds like a bash of him but it really isn't; it still takes skill to be able to put the meal together even if you have great ingredients and a great recipe. Pruitt, like most Saban assistants (especially Saban's defensive assistants) are order-takers and rule-followers.

Pruitt's problem as HC is that, IMO, he doesn't have the skillset required to acquire great ingredients and he really doesn't have the skillset required to develop his own recipe.

Please explain why you all are so willing to give Freeze a second chance and claim he has reformed, but one picture automatically disqualifies this OL coach candidate?

He did this in what, 2010, while still in college?

Doesn't matter...the PC/Woke world we live in today would eat him up.

Times we live in...stupid college sh1t or not.

This is why I have preached for years to my kids that the internet...never...goes...away!

I am fully confident Napier would hire a better OL coach than Troy's OL coach who has coached for 5 years and has the blackface picture floating easily on the web
My bad. I mixed up Troy and ULL in my head for a second.

I don't want him to be our Oline coach, but we really need to stop playing this whole moral superiority card. Dude messed up with a Halloween costume in college. We are all fine with a guy who buys prostitutes on a school phone. Why can we forgive one but not the other?

Blackface doesn't necessarily make you a racist, but it absolutely means you're an idiot.

I would like to stay away from more Friend-of-Pruitt dumbasses.

Our D was pretty good last year (2019 season). I don’t think anyone would say that unit was stacked with high tier talent.
