I wanted to visit some of the state parks, De Soto and Honeymoon being the top 2 on my list, but that was unfortunately not in the plans for the trip 😒
You should sometime if you get a chance..they are not nurtured like the rest if the Pinellas beaches, so they are pretty natural...which is different.

Not only from the same hometown, I went to the same high school as Aldra Wilson, albeit a few years behind him. I have always said we won the first BCS title on three things: the back of Wilson and his leadership, the legs of Henry, and the foot of Hall.

Al Wilson is THE MAN‼️ Such a beast and a true VFL‼️

Agree at least with run D, just gotta figure out this pass D. Don't get it being bottom 20 in the country there at 8.2 ypa with cjp and cda. Could use some stud CBs recruited too, that part has me miffed. Surely some dudes want to come get coached by these 2! Maybe Green starts the wave.

Also not sure if this is a cb/safety issue or maybe just lb/star thing because it seems to be a lot in the middle. I remember our lbs were graded poorly at pass last year too so idk. Maybe @HankHill or someone can chime in tia

I think more than anything were severely lacking in consistent pass rush both off the edge and on the interior... and that’s the biggest area that our staff has not recruited any hits *yet*. The only true productive pass rushers have been butch hold overs in Phillips and Taylor. We rarely get pressure with just 4 or even 5 and i think that’s where you see our downfalls in the passing game.

Ozuna hammered the line drive to CF much lower than Peterson and Bellinger who also hit balls to center that were very high and the wind killed them. Polluck needed a little more strength to get his out oppo as the wind killed it. Now Rios hammered his to RF. Wind was blowing hard in from RF.

bottom line is the braves are a more well rounded offense while the dodgers rely more on the long ball. The wind favored the braves from start to finish as I posted at the first of the game
Why do you have to be so full of it? The elements are part of the game. Do you think the Braves maybe pitch the hitters a little differently if the wind isn’t blowing like that? Your posts make it sound like the Braves didn’t deserve to win. Wrong. They out-pitched and out-hit the Dodgers again. I am not a huge Snit fan at all, but if he gets this team, that’s been decimated by injuries all over the place, to the World Series, then he deserves to be manager of the year and to get a contract extension.

Last night was the first Braves game I've watched in some time. Used to watch games with my dad, but after he passed, not so much. Have a lot to catch up on if I start following baseball again.

Same. My family was crazy about the Braves in the 90s. But I haven’t followed them closely in 20 years. Nor had my dad. He passed in early Sept and it would just be too damn weird if they end up in the World Series right when he can’t watch after all these years. Although that’s pretty much spot on for his and my family’s overall luck!

The braves deserved to win no doubt. Kershaw wasn’t sharp battled as long as his stuff allowed and then the braves took over.

The point is the Braves offense is better suited to score runs in bunches without HRs than the Dodgers. That’s why the elements favored them. Doesn’t mean they didn’t deserve to win in fact it means they deserved it more so

I went to sort of the same HS as Al, as I went to Jackson High before it consolidated with Merry High to become JC-M.

Pro Baseball just isn't exciting anymore.

We had a lot of starpower back then.

I think it was more exciting bc it was something my Dad and I could follow together. We all kinda grew up with Glavine, Smoltz, and Maddog.

My kids are all young. I can gaurantee win or lose we'll make the trip to Atlanta to see them play at some point. We will also catch a Gwinett Stripers game too.

Personally i get more enjoyment out of watching oddball games live, Maryville College, SHHS basketball, or Mayrville Football. I would def enjoy seeing TN play a baseball game.

Tonight’s a great example of there is no such thing as momentum from game to game only momentum within a game itself that matters

I’ve long thought that to be the case especially in baseball
Then we need to bump this. Not calling you out. I referenced the 96 World Series when we almost gave up game 2...any Braves fan around long enough knows that significance.

I agree. I Don’t believe In momentum from game to game in baseball.

my thinking is if the dodgers win today they will Have May and Kershaw the next two days against vastly inferior pitchers. Then I just don’t think friend and Anderson pitched as well as their result in games 1/2. They threw a boat load of pitches and wiggled out of a lot of Jams.

Game 3 is the series imo

Prophecies are also a day to day thing. I wasn’t confident against the Marlins...they had never lost a postseason series.

You bumped a post that said the exact same thing surely you realize that??

There was a Game of the Week and we had SuperStations (TBS and WGN). Even if you weren’t a Braves or Cubbie fan, that was a lot of BASEBALL available to be seen. When Fay Vincent first brought up eliminating the extra games, I thought it was a harbinger. When Turner Broadcasting caved, it set the course. College football only got better when the conferences took over broadcasting packages. More viewers is never a bad thing.

The point is you’re giving a seriously sorry excuse for the Dodgers. 10-2 game. Hitters hit. Two best offensive teams in baseball in this series. One team is coming up clutch and the other, more talented team, is choking it away just like they’ve done every year for what seems like the last decade.

It wasn’t watered down. When a game was on it was special. Over exposed now imo
