I appreciate your attempt to talk me off the ledge. It's running through the elder Care facility in Washington killing a high percentage of those infected. I don't trust the numbers out of China. I'm watching Italy to see where the numbers fall. Dad has pulmonary fibrosis and I'm confident that it would kill him in short order. It is imperative that he doesn't catch it. I hope and pray that you are right.

That goes for flu too bud. He’s at high risk for bad outcome with it. He’s way more likely to contact the flu.

The reason the numbers are low IMO is due to ability to test. If respiratory complaints come into my office I can send a viral respiratory panel off for testing. That takes a couple of days. I just don’t think we have captured a fraction of the virus. Someone will develop a rapid test that can be done bedside and I’m certain number of cases will skyrocket and mortality rate will plummet.

He can take and has had the flu shot. He can't do that with this. No one can. It's really starting to spread here in the US. New cases popping up all over. Many with no known connections. CDC is now predicting a pandemic.

There was a very informative roundtable with the task force on Fox Business today. Check it out on their site or youtube. It's the method of collection and submission around he world that is causing the numbers to skew. America is much more thorough with reporting requirements that other nations do not follow. Million of testing kits will be available shortly in America for medical personnel as the admin dropped the FDA approval requirement. They are going for the treatment of confirmed cases. Expect it to be out in 3-4 months. Meanwhile they will keep working on the vaccine, which will be out in 12-18 months. They all said the average flu effects we experience yearly will be worse than this. Also, Azar stated tonight that the manufacturing of required masks for medical industry personnel has ramped up and are being distributed across the country now.

Just FYI, my entire family (6 of us) all had the flu shot. 5 of us got the flu this year. The shot does mitigate it a bit, but we are also youngish, healthy people. This year, the shot has not stopped many from getting it.

Mum had the flu shot last year. Nearly died of...the flu. Was in a coma for 10 days and hospital for 40.

All better now but flying to to Italy tomorrow. C'est la vie.

I didn't get it. Seldom do and I've had the flu once in the last 20 years. Seems like the flu shot is less effective each year.

Why does the flu come out of China every year? Is it their nasty habits?

While I believe what you're saying, I also believe China is putting the most favorable death number forward as well.

Last of a dying breed for me when he finally retired that possessed all of the old school fundamentals of basketball was Tim Duncan.But the most dominant center of my lifetime I ever seen was Shaq

Has anyone on this website refuted what I’ve said with any actual logic? No, they just want to say that I never post. I have been here just as long, or longer than you all. None of you actually have anything to contribute to this conversation, nothing to refute the fact that LeBron is just as good as advertised, and nothing to deny that Jordan is overrated by people on this website. LeBron is bigger and more physical than most players you guys love and that’s just facts. Imagine thinking that if you put LeBron in the league 30 years ago, he’s too “soft”. He wouldn’t be able to be stopped lol.. but Jordan played against the best players of all time and now we just have bums 😂😂😂😂😂
