What the hell is coach effect lol. Probably one of those “analytics stats” where a coach with a 2-6 record is +5.

Analytics are what told us Guarantano was the 3rd best QB in the SEC going into the season.

I hated OSU so bad before they got Meyer. That whole "the" Ohio State University is weak. Plus, the entire state of Ohii sucks.

For irrational reasons I can’t explain, I cannot stand tOSU, and that feeling increased exponentially when Meyer got the job there. It is slightly better now that he is gone, but they are still my most hated team for a non-rival.

Somebody here made a list very recently of teams that could possibly win the national championship in any given year, going forward. Can't find it.

The Weather in the Georgia game cant be overstated on impact. You can’t just look at stats. One opponent that could have/would have pummeled you in good weather but you get in a monsoon can really help the defense stats.

Kind of like how bad nfl teams sometimes have good pass defenses. Because everyone whoops that a$$ and the runs down the stretch
Egggzactly. UGA game was a downpour (note UK scored 0) and UF was with Franks. The minute Trask came in they got railed. Mizzou was also a downpour and Bryant couldn't even handle the ball. Not saying they don't have a good defense, but it isn't dominant either.

Fun questions brought up on VQ:

1) If Arkansas loses to WKU, does Morris get fired on the spot? That would be 4 G5 losses in 2 years (if you thought only losing to Ga St was the worst thing...). They would also likely finish 2-10 again.

2) If USC loses to App St, does Muschamp get fired? (Essentially locks them in for 4-8 in year 4 too).
I'm happy we got to kick Muschamps butt before it got canned.

Common we ain’t Clemson and got our ass embarrassed treating ga state that way

Besides what happened to you singing UABs praises?

I mean just last week you were claiming how tough a game it was going to be
Was only referring to "staff is incompetent" re: us having a different plan for Ga St. Every staff has such.

Wasn't agreeing we did that vs UAB of course. As you implied, that would be bad. You imply as much they were too good to do that against.

And yes it was a good win. In fact, at 30-7, it was dang good.

Love his game, but JJJ will be the best player in the '19 class, when it's all said and done. Gaines is a straight "Balla", just needs another year in UTs S&C system. "The Ticket" can do it all and was criminally underrated by 247 and Rivals. In fact, the whole class was underrated. Pember has skills, too.
Jai Johanny Johanson?

Just about everyone was redneck mad after GSU and calling for 1-11/2-10.
Enough realized anomalies happen, teams progress, and cfb is full of emotion and kids playing ball, which leads to lots of variance.

People were using the anti-transitive property, like "we can't beat GSU" (because of course that outcome happens 100 out of 100 times...and we don't return Bituli and BT...), ergo we can't beat anyone but Chattanooga. No matter some bringing up hey, we lost to Vandy and beat a ranked Auburn and #11 team within 2 months of one another. People were being way too absolutist. "We won't win a single game this year. HOW CAN WE??!?" 🤣🤣

Frost isn’t good lol. Nebraska already got pounded by Minnesota 34-7 this year. Illinois isn’t terrible tho. They are playing better and have won 3 straight including beating Wisconsin. Even if Minnesota goes 9-3 it’s a great season.

Nothing else to say. Illinois lost to Eastern Michigan. I understand 9-3 is good, but not all records are created equal.

"tapped" "gapping" "loose"

Is Simonton a journalist? That's some message board-level editing.
If you look at your list, they're all words, so spell check doesn't spot them.
It yon lock an our last, their small wards, sew smell cheek wasn't pot the.

Edit: It is an informative account, though.

Who’s advocating “change for the sake of change”?

What a ridiculous inference.
How is it? Springbokvol said "How about we don't change our staff at all" and you said "If you're standing still, you're falling behind"..

It sounds like you mean that not changing the staff is "falling behind"..

A lot of us like the staff fine as it is, and are sick of the constant turmoil of the last decade, and we see change as a bad thing right now. We need as much stability as is humanly possible at this point. After establishing stability, then tweaking here and there would be fine.

I get that you are talking about seeking improvement, but at some point you need to stand pat for a bit to be able to move forward instead of faceplanting again.

Not hating at all....they just haven’t played anyone lol just like Clemson and bama, but bama is Americans team so I expect them to be there unless they just completely Sh*t the bed.
Didn't they play the Wiscy team everyone was salivating over? In fact they embarrassed them. Beat Cinci, #17, 42-0.

2 more ranked teams than Alabama and Clemson have faced combined...
