Props to Chaney and Weinke for the work they have done with Maurer the last two weeks. He looked like a completely different QB from the Florida game to last night.

They really got him settled down and he was slinging the ball like he did in highschool.

Several very difficult throws with perfect placement and timing. Even most of his misses were well thrown. I only remember one bad pass. If he can consistently do that combined with his vision and ability to run, he will be special. I still want Bailey but Maurer's emergence would give him time to come in and learn without being forced to start.

No big deal.....we have done it to. It‘s what makes a rivalry. Our day is coming and this will go in the memory bank. Let it go and move on.

Was last night the turning point?? Don’t know BUT what I saw last night was everyone seemed to pulling the rope in the same direction. JG was engaged in the offensive huddles, players were hyped and dhippy and the fans.....well we are Tennessee and we will ome out and support!!

Our time is coming. AS I have mentioned several times, sit back and enjoy the ride. We have too much going for us from administration down to the coahcing staff and an AD who loves this place and is will ing to spend the $ ( Barnes / Chaney / Ansley / Nieds inncrese) to INSURE this happens.

Now..... GO BRAVES !!!!!!

I can't say that he is the starter of the future, but you have to hand it to him. He had a team attitude last night. That definitely raises my respect level for him, and gives me more hope for our immediate future.

Truthfully it’s time to start seeing crouch and Harrison flash on occasion. We haven’t seen much at all from them if we are being honest

last night Crouch had a badass play where he outran the O line and swung around, putting about the only pressure on Fromm all game... he and harrison will be ready next season and will continue to improve this season.

Still needs to work on outs and fade but he did great.

They are being taught in practice but several either aren't capable of retaining it or haven't been in the program long enough for it to be instinct.

Even the best teachers can't make some students test well. That doesn't mean they are bad teachers.

The new guys not lining up properly all the time doesn't concern me. It's going to happen when you play as many freshmen and players new to the program as we do. You don't see it much at other schools because they don't have to field an entire defense of guys that have only been in the system between 5-17 games. Heck, almost 1/3 of them have only been on campus a few months.
The Georgia people behind me were complaining about the exact same thing with their defense!
