Quarantines due to contact tracing
If they are testing multiple times per week, why are they still quarantining for contact tracing? If this is the case, why didn’t players and coaches who had been around Saban or Trevor Lawrence have to quarantine? I would think TAMU had more positives OR spread through most of a position group.

Arkansas ate an 11.9 million buyout to fire Chad Morris. That on top of the 12 million buyout they had just agreed to with Bielema. But we are told we can’t afford it despite being far larger and more profitable than Arkansas ever dreamt of being.

It can be done and it needs to be done.
Nicely done! Agree 💯! The admin is feeding the line that we can’t financially afford to do it, because they know the largest part of the fanbase will believe it, because the largest portion follows at a distance. They don’t pay attention to the fact that a school like Arky is paying 2 very large buyouts currently. We have been making the most profit on gross revenue of any school in the SEC, since the inception of the SEC network. Where in the world has all of that money gone??? On top of that, we have all of donations from boosters. What in the world is the administration doing with all of this money? Taking home massive paychecks? Something doesn’t fit.

But what does it MEEEEAAAAAAANNNNN?!?!
We will fire more guys who aren’t at fault to buy Germy another year so we can watch the slide go further until he is finally fired. An unexpected star candidate will emerge that everyone is happy with only we will be told that we can’t afford it. We will then hire another loser while the boosters and powerbrokers pat themselves on the back for a great hire. The presser will happen and many of us will hop on board reluctantly. As the season nears, more will have talked themselves into it. We will watch Coach McGoogle flail around and tell ourselves he needs more time despite the red flags and talent. Then the slide will begin anew.

Good comparison. But, Arkansas has Walmart money accessible for their poor coaching hires. We are being led to believe that the large financial donors don't care about football or their money comes with their heavy involvement in the hiring and control of the program.

And those decisions were made before covid.

not sure why it’s hard for people to understand we are losing millions and millions of dollars this season

The virus has an incubation period between exposure and testing positive. That’s the reason for contract tracing and testing

The Waltons really don’t involve themselves in sports the way you’d expect. They are more interested in building things like Crystal Bridges (an enormous art museum where many works were acquired in really crappy ways) and building up NW Arkansas. Also like the Haslams they’re more interested in putting their name on things.
