Sunseri getting hired would be fantastic for us!

Really hoping Chaney gets hired before we release him so we don't have to pay a buyout for him either but it's looking like that won't happen.

Fedora or Gundy is not the answer. Neither one are great recruiters, neither one is dedicated to running the ball, and both usually struggle on defense. It's very hard to win that way in the SEC.

actually of the 3 strong has the highest pass to rush ratio - all 3 had very good balance so not sure this perception of Gundy and Fedora is based in reality

We'll see. We'll also see how good of a coach Sumlin really is because he now knows defenses are going to scheme around neutralizing Manziel. We'll see.

I think Strong would be a good hire but im not going to base it off him leading UL to a BCS game because they play in an awful conference and didnt play one ranked team. They almost lost to FIU, So.Miss, and South Florida who have a combined record of 6-30. I think he would be a good hire because of his connection in FLA for recruiting and his defensive knowledge. He just has to get the right OC.

Nah, he'll probably stick around and make us fire him before he moves on. I believe his contract is guaranteed too so taking another job doesn't lessen the payout.

Chavis did a good job. aTm is most likely about to dominate. Their recruiting class is sick.

Disagree, Fedora just isn't as well known a commodity. He's a very good recruiter and, IMO, a better coach than Strong.

However, given the choice, I'd choose Strong, but only b/c of his ties & history within SEC recruiting circles and b/c I think he'd assemble a better staff.

But make no mistake, Fedora is a very good coach.

UF defense is legit but could their offense put up enough points? They dont have the QB or WRs to expose them deep which is Bama's one weakness. Their RB would get some yards but its not like Bama is going to give up 200 yards rushing. Bama has only rushed for 300 yards 3 this year so they just dont have to rely on the run to win games. UGA pass defense has been better than UF's overall so its not like they cant be passed on. Also they got A&M at the beginning of the year before Johnny Manziel even knew his own name. UF played a great schedule but to say they would beat Bama without any legit reason to back that up is meh, imo.


I know it has to be eating you up inside that Bama is going to the title game again, especially after you picked them to lose 4 times this year. Your hate for bama makes you overlook the obvious. But hey it is what it is. No harm done. :peace2:

Bama and Ga both ranked better than UF in passing yards allow but UF was ranked #1 in Pass Efficiency Defense while giving up less TD than both and having more INT and less yards per comp...so you tell me who's the better pass D? Then throw in UF schedule compare to Bama and Ga..I'll give the edge to UF as best SEC unit. jmo

Somewhere, I hope Mike Garrett is getting kicked in the nuts.

Well I was just thinking what coaches would have the opportunity to stay. I know everyone wants Graham and Pittman to get a look. Anybody else? I thought McKeefery would get a chance to stay but after looking into and reading about Louisville's S&C coach, I doubt he get that chance now. Here's his profile. For the meatheads out there like myself, it's pretty damn impressive.

I wonder who would be #2 in the bcs if the one loss teams all lost at the same time of the season. I'd rather see the final human polls rank teams overall instead of factoring in when the loss was. If it was set up like this I think UF or Kst had the better resumes & would've been #2. JMO

That post was actually directed at TideWarrior for talking noise about the Vols for no apparent reason. But where have I offended someone because of race? People are attacking Strong because of his comments about race was a factor. I responded without offending another race. Just gave facts on the situations. Maybe you need to read a few pages back then you'll see why I said what I said. I was all for the unproven "college" coach Gruden so how racist am I? I like Muschamp as a coach more than any other coach right now. Guess that makes me racist too.....
