Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I'm 40. I watched his entire career. From his first time getting some game action against UCLA in 94 all the way through his NFL career. He is the greatest all time QB to ever play at UT....there's no doubt about it. I also never said he wasn't talented because he wouldn't have had the career that he ended up having i he wasn't. All I said was what made him so great was his football IQ...and if you ask defensive players that lined up against him in college and the NFL they will say the exact same thing. He wasn't the most talented compared to other QBs but you could not outsmart him with schemes and such....the greatest football mind to ever play the QB position in my opinion.

I replied with my top 5 because the OP said talent and play making ability. When I think of play making ability...I think of making something out of nothing when your scrambling from a blitz and etc. So please don't act like I'm saying Manning is a scrub and not the GOAT.
I mean if we are talking about talent and play making ability then Manning should not be top 5. Hate to say it but the reason he was so good was because of his high IQ on the field not his physical attributes. Now going off talent and play making ability.....

Then it's gotta be in no order :

Hooker
Holloway
Shuler
Robinson
Dobbs

Cam Sutton always had a position. It was CB.

Dee Beckwith was one I thought would be a stud somewhere, but couldn’t find a position for his great athleticism.

Sometimes those guys work out, sometimes they don’t.
A lot of those guys who are athletic like that but don’t have a position, it’s because they don’t like contact and physicality, which is no bueno for a football player

Mikey has been stalking me for months. Look at his post history and tell me I'm crazy. All hours of the night, too. Search his posts with my username or pussum and see if I'm lying.

It's creepy.
dude people live in different parts od this country. 2:14 Ante Meridiem here is 11:14 Post meridiem, on the lefter coast.

Now if he lives in Atlantic time zone off coast of Newfoundland and he's up at 3:14 hes a psychopath.

Worked for him everytime he ran it. Manning had a few good scrambles in his day as well. There is talent in knowing how to read defenses, and putting the ball where it needs to be. GBO!
His timing and work with his receivers. LOL, I remember him taking ball from snap, Harrison running exactly to sticks, covered. Ball would be out before break, and Harrison caught on other side of DB. What can you do?

To say, based on talent and playmaking ability, Manning is not Top 5 at UT...

He had 101 total touchdowns in his Vol career. 101 plays he made...just right there.

Y’all have some really weird convos.

Also, how would a person explain that to their boss if they were scanning VN on their break and boss walks by and some old dude dancing w his belly showing pops up in the screen?

I’ve said this before on here but I saw at least one time Harrison made two breaks in his route while the ball was in the air and it was money.

^^^ that quitter ended up not living up to his 5* rating. 5th round draft pick to the Texans and ran a 4.62 forty at the combine...which is a liability against the pass in the SEC and especially the NFL.

The 2 Jadens from the 25 class, as well as top 100 players White and Rouse in this 26 class ALL have the potential to be better than Henry....and ALL are faster than him and hopefully able to cover backs and TEs underneath which has been our Achilles heel forever on defense.
Yeah, that’s right and I love it.

I do have to ask, though: is the gif I posted not moving? The point of the gif was the Vols OL pushing Alabama around all day. Big Jerome Carver (#57) (I loved that guy) giving To’o To’o an earful in the endzone after yet another Tennessee TD was a great moment imo!

I love to watch our OL.
