We ran the wheels off that guy last year didn’t we? I’m sure by the end of it he was beat up pretty good. Fantastic player and I’ll miss seeing him on Saturdays.

Yea there were several times you could tell he was in serious pain and gutted it out. Great and selfless player

Probably too bar a high to ask, #1 offense and best QB in UT history. But hoping he can play up to the last 2 QBs and drag us to 9-10 wins behind an elite defense and 32-36 ppg. Would be a big jump in competition and output, Hype is the man to make the dream work.

Yeah, that bar is too high. I agree. The bar I set is connecting on go routes. If he does that with the defense we are projected to have (better than last year) we can make it back into the playoffs.

Saying that we will have to run the ball well. Can we replace DSamps output? I believe so. I think we will be better in the trenches this year and having a back like Lewis. His speed and size should produce more yards on the ground than last year.

They did Joey wrong in NCAA 26. He looks busted .

Plus the roster has none of our incoming class on it. Made up names as the backups. At least from what I can tell.

They won’t update it until they actually are on campus. Same with several schools. Joey is a baller though.

Yes, they’ll update the roster until week 3 or 4. To get players overall correct and all the transfers/freshman in.

There is another poster here who has a similar posting style as Bruin. I will say that Bruin knew a few things. I still remember him coming and asking if anyone heard about an injury to such and such player. No one had, and then all of a sudden said player was out for the game.

He would be tolerable for spells, but his agenda, personality, whatever it was always surfaced at the end of the day.

My way-too-early (slightly optimistic?) odds:


@bama +7 (4.5 pts more optimistic than Vegas). 30% chance to win

UGA +7.5 (same as Vegas) 27% chance to win

@UF +2.5 (.5 pt more optimistic than Vegas). 46% chance to win



3-game odds:

73% chance of winning at least 1 of the 3. I'll take it.

26% chance of pulling out 2 of the 3 games. Build Heupel a damn statue tomorrow.

And a 4% chance we win all 3 (so you're telling me there's a chance...)

If we win that Georgia game it’ll be because of defense and home field advantage. The Florida game feels like a game that the offense will need to show up, get a lead, and hold onto it.

Totally agree. How could you not based on the last 24 years?

I agree with you, but my true response is 'yes and no'. Not counting injury battles, there definitely were moments of bad pass pro.

We also had a QB who took 2 seconds longer than SEC average to get rid of the ball. 2 seconds is a long time for any tackle to keep Tyreak Sapp, Landon Jackson, Mason Thomas, etc away from your quarterback. Gotta make calls. Gotta make quicker decisions. Two things can work in tandem to make things appear worse than they are. Our offense only works when QB is diagnosing and spreading the ball out quickly.

Think our Pass pro shows significant improvement this year. Aguilar will not hold on to the football long enough, and I think the gunslinger effect may give our OL the juice to control games longer

Am I the only one that thinks ja was brought in for backup or competition? Just saying I know coach was making a statement by getting rid of Nico, but there is way too much money involved with coaches salary to let an additional mil decide you have no qb. I think if cjh didn’t think he had the horses to compete, he wouldn’t have made that decision.
