For all of you fellow outdoors-people, what do you do to combat gnats? I just got back from an inshore fishing trip and the gnats were bad. I pull a buff up over my nose but they still find a way down in there and up my nose. I don’t really want to go full head net because it messes with my ability to see subtle things on the surface of the water, but I had an infection in my throat several years back from a gnat and am now dealing with a sinus infection from one that got stuck up in my nose. Those bast#rds won't leave me alone and evidently my body reacts poorly to them. I need a better game plan before I head out for the next trip.
No. I use a kayak when the trip allows, otherwise I'm on a dock or doing some wading. Even in the kayak, I'm usually within 100 yards of the shoreline. I'm out there in June and September, so the best redfish activity is usually up on the flats and along grassy flooded shorelines.Do you have a boat? Only an issue near land for me. I know Disney World sprays for them, relentlessly. You could research that.
yup. Are you N of Chaz? Like around Francis Marion? No. I use a kayak when the trip allows, otherwise I'm on a dock or doing some wading. Just think. An entire graduating class of bammers don't know what it's like to win in NeylandHad to watch the last video of the article. Still gives me chills. A memory etched in all of our minds.

Face into the wind. Don't wear cologne or deodorant with an odor. Bring a bunch of citronella. For all of you fellow outdoors-people, what do you do to combat gnats? Try getting a fabric softener sheet, like bounce. Put it inside your hat. You can also rub it on your hat and maybe even try to rub it on yourself. I think the other thing you can do is tie a couple of them together around your neck like a necklace. For all of you fellow outdoors-people, what do you do to combat gnats?
