Hope Heupel won't get into this kids head and neuter him as a QB. I'd like to see some Hooker-like gunslinger at the position again instead of this coaching/playing scared thing we've seen since '22. This milquetoast football is the pits.
So you think that's what he did the last two years? Weird take regarding a coach that sets scoring records everywhere.

😂 imagine thinking Heup doesn’t *want* to play aggressive
The want to might be there, but he doesn't have the confidence in his QBs to let 'em just play. Hence the timid play calling. And yeah, that's on Heupel. He chose Milton and Nico. Bad evals. Backed into/inherited Hooker so he gets no credit for that.

I do have to wonder tho how will the team chemistry be if it’s aguilar. New qb coming in and taking the reins without a real competition might hurt the team chemistry

I think you're missing the fact that this offense is a gimmick that's been figured out. I also think you're missing the weak evals and coaching at the position.
So in one breath you criticize the coach for playing too conservatively and in the next you blame it on the system for being a gimmick. It's neither. It's adjustments due to QB weakness. And before you criticize the QB selection, consider that we paid stupid money to get the best available, but sometimes they just don't work like you hope. Even at that, playoffs, so I would hardly call it failing.

Brother Nico was a RS Fr in his first year starting. Did you really think you were gonna see him slinging it like HH?? Did HH look like the HH we knew in his first year starting at VT?

This & his OL will be much much better
Not gonna lie, I have many questions on how good our OL will be. Will Heard play harder this year? Be better? Will Sanders be able to cover the RT spot as a true freshman? Is Satterwhite ready to be starting center?

I don't think it matters. There was never a plan for either of the other QB's to start this year. We bring in a new QB and keep the other guys in the same plan they came here with.

Conservative and gimmick aren't mutually exclusive. As for the choice of Nico, that was Heupels assessment and choice "Stupid money" doesn't make it the right eval/choice. As for the playoffs, I'll grant you that, but it was in large part due to the defense and a weak schedule. Heupel gets credit for the Garner factor, but lucked into the schedule....which will almost certainly flip after this season.

The memories the sound of that voice brings back🥹
I‘m truly sorry for the younger fans on here that didn’t get to listen to John Ward and Bill Anderson broadcasts of Big Orange football. It’s hard to explain to the younger generation but most years Tennessee would be on TV once maybe twice in a season, so John and Bill on the radio was it, and it was glorious🧡🍊
