Kept the sidewalks and driveways hot on mine; rode the wheels about near off of it. It was just like that one! The Bronco totaled my General out, and it was no more...parked it right behind mom, and she didn't see it backing out.

Im ok, though...I got past it long ago.

Here again you are wrong. NFL production has zero to do with collegiate talent. Tebow was one of the greatest college QBs ever. He wasn’t that successful in the NFL. That doesn’t change the fact of how talented he was in college.

Put Cam Newton in his place and those Florida teams are even more dominant.

Just because a guy lucks into a great situation doesn't make him great. The NFL is the great litmus test on if you were ever any good. Guys who hide behind elite talent in college like Tebow get exposed in the pros.

No he wouldn’t have. Not even close.

Allen was very raw in college. And when he first got to the NFL. He had a great toolset, but needed to be developed a lot. There’s a reason he was at Wyoming and not somewhere bigger. If you saw Allen play in college, you’d know what I mean.

I did watch Allen in college. In fact I was so sure of his elite talent that I rated him the #1 QB in the 2018 draft and #2 overall prospect after Saquon Barkley. I said he would be Dan Marino with mobility.

The only people who thought Josh Allen was raw and needed time to develop are those who look at stats and not the tape. Talent wise Josh was always ready. He just lacked an adequate supporting cast in college and his first 2 years at Buffalo. The second Buffalo got him Stefon Diggs he transformed into an MVP candidate. Others might have been surprised by his sudden emergence in 2020. I wasn't. I literally was predicting it would happen because I saw the talent was there he just needed some help.

Josh definitely needed a year to develop. It was evident when he threw more interceptions than touchdowns in his rookie year, but Buffalo had a plan for him and executed it perfectly

It seems you were correct about Lamar Jackson too.

Great job

You mean the same Cam Newton who was Tebow's backup at Florida before getting kicked off the team?

Yes.
Who also won a National Championship at Auburn with much less talent than those Florida teams.

Would you really argue Jake Frohm was better than Justin Fields too?

It’s absolutely not a stretch to think Cam Newton could have elevated them even more. Not to mention Cam got the Panthers to the Super Bowl. Tebow had Percy Harvin too who was the best player in college football. Tebow was perfect for what Meyer wanted from his QBs.

It's a big wheel! All the cool kids had one. My "rich" cousin had a Dukes of Hazzard edition. Mine was plain.....🫤

The old plastic Halloween costumes were so junky. The little rubber strap would pull loose off the mask about the 3rd time you raised it up because you couldn't breath. That rubber strap would also rip all the hairs out of your head. 🤣. Mom had a 66 Malibu with vinyl seats and between those seats and those plastic suits, you'd be soaken wet before you got to Granny's house. I can remember trick or treating out of that Malibu twice. I was Casper one year and Superman the next. (I was 7 or 8 when she quit driving it.)
seems like there was a green knock off Big Wheel. What was it called?

just remembered..Green Machine..duh

Cam and Tebow were two of the best college QBs of all-time. It’s not a zero sum game.

I’d love to have seen Shuler in a system like Meyer’s in college (but still at Tennessee, obviously).

In my neighborhood, we would look for any discarded big wheel or green machine. Would strip the back wheels off of them, grab some 2x4s, a rope, and you had a heck of a go cart machine of death. You wonder why ole Darth wears a suit? Because he peeled off most of his skin falling off a homemade go cart doing 30 mph, downhill on asphalt. 😱😭

I can’t believe the hate buddy, I was in Tempe the night we won and was proud to be a Tennessee Vol that night. I for the life of me will never understand the negativity from some of this fan base 😢
It’s not hate. It’s just realistic conversation. I loved that team. I just think there are two lessons from this.

The first is that we give way too much credit to the QB for wins, losses, and championships. That year proved that it’s a team game and they won in spite of subpar QB play.

Second, because we erroneously credit QBs with championships, I think we have, in retrospect, elevated Tee to a player that he really wasn’t. Folks have forgotten how much he struggled as a passer, just completing simple throws. He’s consistently mentioned as an all-time great UT QB, but he probably wasn’t top 10.

Again, not hate. Just reality.

agreed. cam was special, really more gifted than tebow. which is saying something bc Tebow was a freak. Tebow had that bulldog mentality. which, made him an insane cfb player.

Happy Wednesday

June 18, 2025: Many of you, are trying to rush to get to whatever is next in your life. When you do that, you are missing the details and nuance of what is here and now. God would have you embrace where you are currently to see and understand the value of spiritual growth through experience. There are valuable lessons to learn in each and every day. Matthew 6:33-34 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
