It where it all begins.

Saban’s super power— 17 consecutive top-5 recruiting classes, signing 75 5-star players and 282 4-star players in those recruiting classes.

Well, you could go to bama and get a free SUV and cash with no repercussions at all.. or go to UT where the NCAA kept an open investigation into free tacos.

It was almost as if the powers that be were picking winners

Or it could be stated this way. You could go to Bama and get coached by the greatest college coach of all time. Or go to TN where they hire coaches like Lame Whiffen, Derek Doofus and Botch Jones.

Not to disrespect Saban and his legacy, I mean, I don't like the guy, but the resume speaks for itself. But isn't it strange that he retired when everyone could pay players and he no longer had the under-the-table advantage? People like to say everyone was cheating. Everyone was trying to cheat. But only certain teams, like Bama, were allowed to do it with impunity. Why do you think Cornbread was so brazen? He thought he'd be able to do here like they did at Bama.

Think they have confidence in Heupel and his ability to coach.
Great coaches find ways to win, even if they are a little skinny on talent. You can really see it in high-school. I think Heupel is that kind of coach. I think the coaches will be the reason why we win one or two. . . or are in games we shouldn't be. . .

Those games "we shouldn't win" are based on the other team having more talent.

Josh Heupel seems like a good dude. He represents Tennessee well. I hope he succeeds here in the long run. Recruiting will play a part. But his biggest challenge right now is fixing the offense. What he has done here so far has been remarkable, and no one should discount that.
