Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Would have put a lot less pressure on Bargo too. The pressure seemed to be weighing on him the last half of the year.
Bargo did struggle after the Bama game in SEC Tourney into NCAA, of course. And, while yes, I would've liked to have seen his overall avg up closer to .300; however, Bargo is also a great exposer of people.

He hit 14 HRs this year and drove in 40 runs. This is where people show that they know nothing, or have been spoiled. Having a lineup in college baseball, up and down the order, hitting 20+ HRs and driving in 60 or more...people, that doesn't happen. 14/15 to 19/20 HRs and driving in 40 to 50 is a damn good power-hitting season. Yes, I would've liked to have seen more runs and production from our 4-hitter; but... .272/.366/14/40 is, by no means, a lousy season.

I hear what you are saying, but someone who goes 1-22 in the post season is going to attract negative attention and not just from people who are ignorant or spoiled.
I agree the early and mid-season criticism was unfair and unfounded, but the last third of the season was objectively rough for him and Chappy.

Yeah, it was...Chapman's glove is always good, but he struggled too, along with Ensley down the stretch.

Audiobooks depends greatly upon the voice talent.

I recommend
zombie Fallout series
Dresden Files series
Iron Druid series
Mad Mick series
America Falls series (can get all in one omnibus)
Convergence series

All are excellent reads, but for me the voice actors really bring the books to life. If the voice is just reading then I pass by. There needs to be different voices and potentially accents for each character to really get it right.

I listen to audiobooks to and from work and actually anytime I am driving alone. 🤠
