Recruiting Football Talk VIII

For any Metallica fans...the show in Atlanta last night was great. I've never been a fan of Pantera or even heard of Suicidal Tendencies, so we suffered through the opening acts (less so for Pantera with Zakk Wylde on guitar) and it was worth it. My 13 year old became a huge fan listening to Metallica in my truck taking him to school every day since he was really little and it was like a dream come true for him. It was a good reminder to make those special moments for your kids happen if you can...this might be what keeps him from putting me in a retirement home one day.

We saw Experience Hendrix at Fox Theatre in Atlanta this year and Zakk Wylde did like a 20 minute version of Purple Haze with about 10 minutes shredding it exclusively behind his back and a couple of minutes with his teeth. I thought no one, other than Hendrix, could touch Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush version at Cal Jam 2 until I witnessed this. It was insane.
Plus we got to see Buddy Guy one, likely final, time as he came out of retirement at 88 years old to play this one event!

I always like the solo Frank Marino stuff..

This would be like Luka for Ad, no? Assuming the dodgers are gonna give a backup and 10 million in monopoly dollars spread over 15 years.

I would imagine a crazy load of young talented prospects and draft picks or big names on the roster…I don’t see them touching their lineup though
