Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Individuals better pull for Alabama to beat Missouri tomorrow because if we play Missouri Wednesday that's a big kick to the crotch on SOS... If individuals are still praying for Tennessee to host this is the way... Roll Tide over Missouri...
"Individuals"? Gave me a flashback to Botch Jones. . .

Or near being the best.
I bet zakai would tell you differently. what about that basketball player we played early this year they told his story during our game. Vol fans blew up his go fund me. What about the little kid who made his own go Vols shirt for school, got made fun of. UT and the fans helped him out. That’s just recently. If you think cuz one guy a Twitter asking what’s up with a slumping pitcher is awful fandom. Well idk what to tell ya.

braves should reevaluate their management. at every turn. run like a bargain store.🐂💩
As a non Braves fan I have to say the Braves might literally be the best organization in baseball at paying and keeping their young talent. Especially for a mid market team. They figured it out right after Fried and Freeman went into arb. The only miss they really had was Contreras. Extensions and mega discounts for Harris, Acuna, Riley, Albies, Olson, Strider, Murphy (slight miss), and an extremely friendly Sale deal.

medium market? that's first time ive heard that.

Idk what Braves fans consider their team to be. But 200M in payroll is not a small market team imo. But you aren't the Mets, Dodgers, Yankees, or Phillies either. What do you guys call it?
A large market that's managed like a small market. It isnt Philly or LA or NY. But Braves have the South.

Always been impressed with AA on structuring his contracts. Would love to hear his “pitch” to those young players ( Albies/Acuna/Riley)

Atlanta is a recently developed city with transplants. The Braves may get East TN, Georgia, Alabama, and some more of the south, but teams like both New York teams, Dodgers, Phillies, Cubs, and Red Sox have the long traditions and markets. The Cardinals' tradition and reach to other states would also rival the Braves.

MLB does a market score for revenue sharing. It's not just based on population size or market but considers media deals. If the score is over 100, then it's labeled a big market and doesn't get as much revenue. Atlanta is 97.

Talking heads keep saying 8-4 is Tennessee's win total this year. I just don't see us losing to 4 of these teams even with a shaky QB. Seriously, what 4 teams beat us this year?

We got Georgia, Bama, and the toss ups are Florida, Oklahoma, Kentucky. But I don't see us dropping to OK and Kentucky. Florida and Bama are away games so they may be more difficult.
