It's only because they play in the ACC. Everyone knows the SEC is the top baseball conference, but they don't want to appear biased by putting all SEC teams at the top.

The only thing I can guess is the committee won’t let the SEC have that many hosts. UT’s numbers are a little better. Higher RPI, higher SOS, same number of Q1 wins, less Q4 losses.
