Yeah, you’ll know that we’re back to “not good, period” when it’s May 11th and no one in this thread has mentioned the baseball team for a month or two.

They are 15 in RPI after today. Arkansas on the road won’t hurt their RPI. I’m confident that we will host a regional.

I expect to lose 2/3 to Arkansas. They're a really good team, I guess that's why I never get mad I don't expect wins every game. Being competitive works for me

They did that a little today by playing Grimmer and Newstrum.

Thinking about going to the Syracuse game but I know Atlanta can be kind of sketchy. It’d be me and my boys - both teenagers.

Any hotel recommendations close to the stadium? Preferably walking distance. Or good sports bars/restaurants to hit up after the game since we play at 12?

I personally dislike neutral site games but my son goes to boot camp the following week so this would be the only game he’d be able to attend this year.

Littered with good hotels. You can trust the google reviews there.

Best restaurants are not in the downtown area. West midtown and midtown have tons of truly great options if you’re a foodie and up for a 10 minute drive and pay for parking. Conversely you could just stay in midtown and ride the Marta train to the game.

If you want to stay downtown and are looking for food that’s close, I would say stats brewpub or biergarten are both good, not great, and close walk. Typical sports bar food (not disappointing) and decent german food/beer. Plenty of TVs. I also really enjoy Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks. Ted’s Montana grill is always dependable. And if you’re a man of culture, there is a Casa de Wafuls right next to Centennial Olympic Park.

Sub 500 last 20 sec games and gets worse the deeper we go in season. Lots of first game win and ultimately losing series at home. The tamu series somehow broke our teams mindset, I truly believe that. The talent is there, just doesn’t show up all at the same time or when you need it most (minus ensley and doyle). Maybe it’s just a young team that hasn’t built the situational baseball command that’s been lacking.

Typical Vanderbilt clown. Not sure how anything that happened this weekend in a closely contested series proved their school values baseball more. Because of a 2 hour weather delay on a Sunday night that had a smaller crowd stick around?

I’m not mad about it, but certainly frustrated and could understand how anyone could be, especially after the season started so well. You’d like to see the team get better as the season goes on, not worse. Bet TV would agree.

Might end up to be a rebuilding season, totally fine, even after a incredible portal recruiting haul, just hope the boys can finish strong so they can feel good about the growth they made and carry that mindset into the offseason. Some guys that have underperformed (Curley) will need to be tomorrows leaders for the incredible recruiting classes we have coming in.

Baseball is such a “head game”.
