The hitting problems with the Diamond Vols are simple and correctable if they have the will to do it. The opponents have figured out our coaching philosophies at the plate. Sankey's umps have their instructions as well.
The solution starts with realizing what they are doing and take what they give you. For some reason I cannot explain they refuse to sit back on the pitches, keep their hands in and hit the other way. They don't care that there is a shift against them and will pull the ball into the shift anyway while swinging out of their shoes. They will have huge holes to hit into and refuse to do it. So the opponents pitch backwards - breaking pitches to get ahead and fastballs to strike out. Since they know our guys are taught to take pitches and work counts, they get ahead in the counts easily. When the umps are screwing us, it is on outside and low calls that are close. Those are the pitches you have to hit opposite field - you cannot roll over on them unless you like to hit weak grounders or pop ups.
Sankey and his various minions operate with impunity. Until some consequences are imposed, officially or otherwise, they have no reason to stop what they are doing.
@Glitch and @Weezer had entered @DD4ME into tomorrow's Kentucky Derby under the name "Horse Ramrod" to try and raise money for our NIL collective. Unfortunately, they were disqualified due to doping violations. And by doping, I mean, being morans.
