Been a minute since any movie discussions...

Rewatched The Iron Claw last night, such a great film...still disappointed it didn't get any Oscar nominations. Biggest complaint was a few casting choices, but otherwise great film

Saw Sinners in IMAX opening weekend, it was just an overall well executed film. Didn't reinvent the wheel or anything for the genres or story but all aspects of it were just top level. I think the acting and cinematography stood out the most for me, but the sound design, music, and editing were also well done. Won't be surprised if it gets a lot of Oscar attention.

Black Bag though might be my current favorite film for 2025 a terrible box office performance though which is so weird based on what the film is and who was in it...but no big action pieces or huge star power either. Short film though at just over 90 minutes well paced, well acted and filmed great. Biggest complaint I've seen is dialogue heavy so not a film you wanna watch distracted as a lot of it can be missed if not listening to the dialogue.

I watched a pretty good one last night, Coherence. It's from 2014. It's about this group of friends that get together for a dinner party on a night whenever a comet is passing by, very close to earth. Very strange things start happening. It was pretty good.

Within the last couple of months I've watched Bates Motel and Taboo, with Tom Hardy. Enjoyed both, very much, especially Bates Motel. Vera Farmiga and Freddy Highmore are absolutely brilliant.

That's why I only drive a beater when I go to Grundy, a lot of vehicles end up at those "auctions."

Meh, I lived there my whole life and never had anything stolen from me until I moved to Nashville.

Right now, I wouldn’t call it an exaggeration to say there is a drug use crisis in the region. People are dying and it’s very sad.

Just like anywhere else, lots of good people and lots of bad people. The good ones are some of the best people you will ever meet.

If ya liked Coherence I'd recommend The One I Love another well executed mind screw type film that was done low budget.

Taboo was great, like Mindhunter a show I was disappointed didn't get renewed. Haven't watched Bates Motel yet...I usually work on movies mostly, shows are difficult for me cause I wanna binge them and I don't usually have 6-8 hours to just sit and do that.

There are a lot of good people up on the mountain. My son is marrying a girl from up there. Newer vehicles have put a damper on on the national pastime of Grundy that is for sure.

Speaking of Walmart. I believe they should add a massage parlor to the establishment. Where else could you go to get groceries, clothes, a new set of tires, and a happy ending in one stop. Plus can fill your tank with gas on the way out of parking lot....heavenly..

Yeah, that was terrible stuff. Afraid alcohol was likely involved. Still in critical condition. Shook both teams up pretty bad as well. I thought they might suspend the game given what took place.
