Don't fall for the usual narrative. They drafted TE Helm and WR Alomayor. Both are very good at what they do.

100% agree, Getting Curley out of the infield helped greatly. Good defense matters - the pitching staff develops more trust. Trusting other young pitchers to close out games would be good for the coaches to do as well. Gonna need them down the stretch.

Curley needs to sit, practice and think things through a bit. Talented guy, but he needs to go back to the basics. It helped Peeples and now he is the player we all knew he could be when Tony stole him away from NCSU.

I just finished watching the Tennessee/LSU game from last night, and holy crap the replay officials were terrible.

1. They called a ball off the wall a catch.

2. They blew the call on Gavin’s stolen base, even with the third base umpire standing right there.

What’s the point of having replay if you’re still going to get the call wrong?
On a better note, Phillips pitched an absolute gem. But Dean is still clearly battling mental issues at the plate.

What’s the point of having replay if you’re still going to get the call wrong?

Exactly, this is the problem with replay. Often they still miss obvious calls and just prolong the game and interrupt the flow of the game.
