My question on this is the NIL money paid up front or paid monthly?

If paid monthly, fine - stop paying.

If paid up front or if you have paid for services not yet rendered then by all means claw back some of the money.

Under the contract, I beleive the athlete should get paid for whatever they committed to and completed. Nothing less, nothing more.
Not that simple right? NIL valuation is what equates into the overall offer. So things like merchandise sales etc. What does Spyre do with excess Nico autographs/apparel/memorabilia now?

I wouldn't take Pavia over Bray or Milton. Pavia goes to other teams in this league and he's the 2nd or 3rd guy in the room. He's a very system specific QB.
People forget how good Tyler Bray was. If he had a Defensive Coordinator with an IQ in the double digits, he would have been like our Johnny Football with even worse tattoos.

IMO, our OL is going to be better, so they did that. They may need to add a WR, but we have 4 four/five stars there. We didn't return production when Heupel took the job in 2021, and they turned Tillman, Hyatt, and Jones into pros.
Yeah. Are they fast? Healthy? Can they catch? All they need to do.

Brazzell will be better and it's not hard to be better than Nimrod or banged up Bru and Squirrel.

I am curious about the legality of it, though. It seems like every case a player has filed against the NCAA has gone in their favor. Now that I think about it, though, is the NCAA who they would sue? Or a university? Hell, now I am confused LOL
Collective or business in which they contract. It's usually a collective though. NCAA has lost because they didn't know what they were doing. Contracts are legally binding.

I'm sure it's monthly, if not biweekly.

I don't really think that's the issue. I don't think it has anything to do with recouping money owed.

I think these kids are signing contracts that have penalties in place for violating the terms of the agreement, just like buyout language that comes standard these days for coaches. So far, schools have chosen not to pursue enforcing those penalties. Because no one wants to be the first school to sue a player. But that time is coming.

Is this exactly wrong though? OL I can see being shored up a bit, but not wr
It's an excuse. I had to be reminded of how many throws Nico missed with some highlights posted a week ago.

I defended the WR's most of last season because there were guys open in many games. The Arkansas, Florida, and Bama games had WR's open....and some by 3+ yards. Goes both ways. Someone who takes responsibility would say, "I have to be better, too." Instead of demanding better players.

I can see Arkansas doing this because of the Walmart money behind their program. They are going to prove a point about NIL and players not holding up their end of the deal. This action is not going to be a cheap. If Madden got his bag from Walmart, that is the reason they are going after it 100%.

Just saw this re Arkansas potentially suing Madden if he doesn't pay his buyout.
One day after Nico signed with UCLA, Madden informed Arkansas coaches he was homesick and wanted to enter the portal, a person familiar with the decision told CBS Sports. The Iamaleava family, including Nico, visited Madden in Fayetteville over the weekend to watch the Razorbacks' spring game, which was canceled due to severe weather.
Fam spends weekend with Madden; all the sudden bruh is "homesick" and bolts?

They'd have to file suit against the collective or the collective would effectively have to file suit against the player for breach of contract. Likely mediation is named as a contract requirement. Which would at least force the parties to sit and talk.

The contract is between the collective (in this case Edge) and the player (Madden, or whatever entity collects for Madden). If there is a buyout clause in the contract (reportedly there is), and the player doesn't pay the buyout, the collective would sue the player in an Arkansas state court. (This, subject to correction by a civil attorney on the board.)

@SoilVol can you confirm what this guy says about the bites? I've seen some nasty wounds from a claimed recluse bite. I didnt see the bites, just what was claimed. A lot of people claim it. . . This guy says they do virtually nothing like what people claim.

I got a bite from one back in the 80s. Spot about the size of a dime turned coal black. Doctor treated me with medicine he said was used to treat leprosy and the spot dried up and went away with very small amount of scarring.

@butchna

Read where Jerry and Micah had a meeting and agreed to terms on his extension. Going be highest paid player other than the QB's . I say it's 5 years/ $220 million and $160 million guaranteed...

Is their Walton money behind Arkansas' collective though? If there were, they should be easily the #1 collective in the nation. My bet is there is zero Walton money there.
