Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I played exclusively on PC for a very long time but these days I do both. Console has its place (not everyone wants the trouble of setting up a PC or knows how to problem solve crashes and updates - though ironically I'm grateful for all the problem solving I had to deal with from PC gaming because it taught me computer literacy). There are some games I will never want to play on console (I love modding too much) but there are also a few that I just don't want to wait for a port to come out.

It's somewhat ironic but gaming has become so geared towards console that PC often gets shafted but now consoles are hitting a price point that may shift that paradigm. PC has a much higher upfront cost but the games tend to be cheaper. Console game prices, otoh, are getting insane and the price of consoles (looking at you Switch 2) is getting to a point where it's going to leave a lot of people and young families out. I don't know how kids are supposed to afford the price of games now. At least we had cartridges to swap, rentals, and McKays,
I could never get used to using a controller for consoles and always got motion sickness whenever I tried. Always ended up back on the PC. Guess I’ll always be a keyboard/mouse guy. Oh, and I’m not a WADS keys user either. I remap my keys to the arrow keys. My big paws can’t handle the closeness of the WADS keys. 🤷🏻‍♂️

This team is not very good once you get to Sat and Sun and its a collective effort. Bash away but the last 3 series proves it.They look dominant on Fridays and then comes Sat and Sun and its all they can do to make it a game.

Saw where LJ3 is entering the portal. Hate that. He's actually seen playing time, unlike guys like Reddick and Grant who just appear to be scholarship benchwarmers thus far in their UT careers. Three years in, they should have seen playing time by now.

Scoring slumps like this happens when you live and die by playing Gorilla Ball. I despise Kentucky but they hit one maybe two homeruns all weekend and won the series by playing small ball and manufacturing runs with some help by our defense...

Controller movement can be very motion sickness inducing. It doesn't bother me when I'm using one but watching someone else or footage with a controller can be a bit hard. I use an xbox elite 2 on PC so there are a lot of different settings to make life easier and kind of make up a little bit of the difference between controller and kb+m for PC users (I also usually keep the keyboard active for inputs). When I first got that controller though, I thought I'd never use all the the settings and back paddles but now it's hard to use a controller without paddles and profiles. When I first got a PS5, I thought I'd made a terrible mistake bc even though I use an xbox controller on PC, it hurt my hands so bad for several days to use a playstation controller.

I'd prob still be using kb+m though were it not for the house fire a few years ago but I had to adapt to not having any space. Hopefully one day but even if I had the space, now I've gotten used to gaming laptop + controller. :)
