Yep. Like I said, the portal runs both ways. If I'm a coach hearing about a kid hinting about hitting the portal, I'm working on finding a replacement ASAP. At WR, there will be some nice players. Same at DB.Yeah y’all act like Boo is the 2nd coming of the good lord.
If the kid wants to leave, bye.
I was more heartbroken over Nu’Keese getting kicked off the team. Idgaf if Boo leaves lol
Yup. Tell em all to go.Yep. Like I said, the portal runs both ways. If I'm a coach hearing about a kid hinting about hitting the portal, I'm working on finding a replacement ASAP. At WR, there will be some nice players. Same at DB.
If this was a play to get some attention and more money, they didn't read the room well. After this Nico deal, any kid playing games on social media would be replaced as soon as I could find someone in the portal. Zero patience for these silly games. Don't have the time for it or the patience. You talk portal, you'd better mean it because I'd consider you gone.
It’s happening to everyone you just don’t see it because it’s not your team. Tennessee doesn’t have the market cornered on greedy mercenaries. My question is why does this seem to happen to us? And only us? It doesnt happen to other programs. Couple that with the inability to consistently bring in top tier talent, and it aint bright.
Hopefully we will be wrong.
Well nobody would have said QB last Thursday and then the next day . Poof. We need one.On the most recent VQ podcast they were talking about positions to add players in the portal and they mentioned WR and DL, but when asked about DB specifically Austin Price surprisingly said “no”.
If he thought Boo was leaving he wouldn’t have said that IMO…
Good to hear..I have been struggling mightily with my health, I am pretty much barely able to walk across the house at this point, but other that, we are doing pretty good, and living in Nowhere'sville is like living in a time warp...not much changes..lol...that has it's advantages and disadvantages.Family, life, work and walk with God going well…yourself? Wouldn’t worry about how the popularity meter on here measures. The ones that matter like and appreciate you, buddy.
You say this but I also wonder how much of the WR issues were on them and how much was on Nico. Hindsight being what it is now and now that the Nico blinders are taken off, there is enough evidence out there to show that Nico wasn’t the stud QB he was sold to us as. He had tons of overthrows to WR with at minimum 5 yards separation, he struggled to extend plays at several key moments, and his quickness at moving the offense along, something that’s crucial under Heupel’s schemes, was lackluster.I’d pass. Kid has had the luxury of passing to two potential 1-3 round draft picks at WR.
Not sure he would do well here with our bottom of the SEC WR group.
Get someone that doesn’t have that luxury and still puts up decent numbers.
I don't think we should view Dooley, Jones, or Pruitt as excellence in recruiting or coaching. You didn’t see the context. Implying that JH can’t recruit because we’re not finishing in the top 3-5 recruiting classes yearly. The best numerically we’ve ever done was Butch’s 2015 class with 33 signees. Heupel was close to that this year with 10 less signees. That’s what I was referring to

I’m not saying he was solely to blame, as there are definitely issues with our receivers, but I think it’s unfair to cast all that at the feet of the receiving core and cast them as bottom of the barrel.
