It would also make sense of a crappy sports site I get fed on my phone. You can tell the articles aren’t exactly written by sports reporters and yet they consistently said stuff about how much trouble we were in regarding this or that. It always felt like when celebs and politicians buy articles (PR Astro turfing). I have a feeling it’s been that sort of outlet for college agents (not just our team) to try and shape narratives. The kind of stories they carry are almost always negative no matter the program and usually not in line with what fans or regular sports news (even fan based sources) think about any given situation.
