Real talk: we recruited Merk and Mac to play. I don’t see a reason to go spend Nico’s money to get another QB unless they feel they’ve missed on both, evaluation-wise.

Use the Nico money to get more weapons and give those guys a real chance.

Vols don’t beat Alabama without Nico last season.

Look...he deserves credit for the plays he did make, but you also can't forget the wide open guys he missed in the first half. They had at least two TDs in the first half if Nico just threw a catchable ball. Nico also had that terrible drive killing INT. It's not crazy to think one of the other QBs produces more in the first half of that game. Nico hurt the offense just as much as he helped it.

Chris Lowe echoing my thoughts…I think this also has to do with the receiving corps which as of now we haven’t upgraded. Money probably the #1 thing but there are other factors as well.

We rescued a year old pit/great dane last May and named him Nico. Hate to give the dog a third name is short two year existence. My 3 year old just quit calling him bastard (pups name was Baxter when we got him) a couple months ago.

The coaches and players should be focused on putting the best product on the field tomorrow.

Instead, they have to focus on Nico while Nico is focusing on himself.

There could be more to this story behind the scenes, but right now, Nico is looking REAL bad.

CJH recruited and brought in the players he wanted. He was building the team the way he saw fit. When your starting QB bails one day before the spring game because he is greedy, it throws a wrench in everything. Yes CJH deserves some leniency next year. He lost his starting QB and was blindsided by it. No options to pivot to. Most teams would be screwed if they lost their starting QB this deep in the offseason.

Heupel gets a 100% mulligan this year if Nico bolts. It’s just so fun to see YouTube channels making fun of us again.

It's not dead but it's wounded . I've just about quit following recruiting. Now probably just wait until fall practice to see who we have on the team. I'm hoping Merk takes the reigns and out preforms what Nico did last year.
