Stylistically women’s college hoops looks like it is going through the phase men’s colleg hoops went through years ago. Better ball handling but terrible shooting, especially inside. You’d think the only shots some of these girls had ever taken was in a game of horse. They don’t have the moves Mique and Candace had - I’m not sure they know those moves exist.

I swear dude is just engagement mining. Florida or Duke should be #1 right now. You could argue Auburn #3. I'd accept Houston and Vols as #4/5 either way. Bama #6. Mich State #7, TTU #8

Exactly. No moves at all and I don’t even know what is going on with their form. Driving to the bucket used to be something women’s hoops was much better at.

Serious question - Why do the women seem to make contested shots easier than wide open ones. When I watch women’s basketball that is the one area (routine layups/shots) that always jumps out as different than the guys.

Lady Vol’s went cold to end the first but as the season has been they tend to start slow and finish strong.

Just hang around. If they can be within 5 or less to start the 4th, I’ll like our position. We will wear them down especially their bigs.

My guess on that would be somewhere along the line coaches stopped emphasizing layups and the current generation of female players is reflecting that. As for contested shots you don’t see a lot of offenses that work to get a single player open the way you do in men’s. You used too but it’s just not the current flavor.
