Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I feel like this has been said for Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Tennessee at different moments this season. And now Duke as well. Those 5 teams look unstoppable when firing on all cylinders and great but mortal when not.

That said I don’t think any team can rely on shooting that well. Basketball has its zone moments when you know you can do no wrong bu those moments don’t tend to be predictable.
I agree I would never want to lean on shooting at that kind of clip.

First you have to figure out Houston. That to me comes down to who makes their shots and who wants it more. Flip a coin i just don't see a ton to discuss on this one. It will be a war.

Matchup wise I dislike Florida and Duke the most. We could possibly get Duke in foul trouble. They flirt with that a lot. I think I'd give Flagg his and focus on taking out the perimeter shooters. I think the 2 for 3's strategy worked well against a long KY team. UF we just have to get off to a better start. Chasing that team is similar to KY chasing us. They are too good defensively, and we don't score easily in bunches. We can, but it is not our strength. UF rarely has droughts. It needs to be a lot more like TT Ole Miss.

The game last night was my favorite of the year. We dominated without being hot from 3. Every hot shooting team has off nights, but you don't have off nights if you win by dominating the paint and the boards.
Really that game felt a bit odd because you couldn’t figure out where the lead came from to begin with but it was driving the paint for several 3 point plays. We got our 3 pointers just not from the 3 point line. And the added bonus is that those come with fouls on the opponent.

Let that hamstring heal completely. It happens time and again when they let the player come back too soon and turn an acute injury into a chronic and repetitive injury that thwarts their career.
Completely agree.

Wait until they get to the mid point of the SEC schedule with LSU is when they will need him. They can begin working him in with some DH as they get closer.

I don’t like the basketball court in a football stadium but I can’t figure out how it could possibly affect their depth perception. There are fans behind the basket just like in a basketball arena.

Not bashing you, just trying to understand why you stated that.
I never said this. You have no proof.

Spreads in EE games.

Tennessee vs Houston, Houston favored -3.5
Florida vs Texas Tech, Florida -6.5
Duke vs Alabama, Duke -6.5
Auburn vs Michigan State , Auburn -5.5
Time for some upsets to start happening! Gonna predict that at least 2 1 seeds go down in the next round, including Houston!
